Re: Brendan Rodgers is the root of the problem

Forest Gump After the inevitable beating at WBA this deluded individual say, In his post-match delirium: "We are capable of being at the top of the table..."

What the f@ck is he on? The reason why we are so bad is because he is not honest enough to admit that his squad is not good enough for this division. His transfer dealings have failed and he should be brave enough to admit it.

He is not only symptomatic of the current dishonesty that grips the Clubs management he is the only one who can do anything about it. He should have the b@ll@cks to say to JM and his lap-poodle Hammond that this Club is going to fall out of the Division unless you give me proper transfer funding.

My bigggest fear is not that Reading will be at the bottom of the Division moost of the season; this most of us are already resigned to.
My biggest worry is that the Clubs management don't give a toss. JM says he wants to go back to the PL but he is not being totally candid. Let's face it; if he wanted promotion seriously he sould have appointed a manager that was capable.

I don't know what table Rodgers thinks we could be on top of but it's looking like the one in my kitchen rather than anything to do with football.

Total tw@t

The reason we are so bad is because he is a shit Manager with a shittier support team. We don't have the greatest squad in our history but a decent manager would get them playing with some fire in their bellies which would, at least, give us some hope for the future. This twat makes me want to stay at home and kick the cat.

What do you care about Para? I think Ideal is spot on. Why do you disagree with his assessment of these fine specimens? From where I sit, they are amongst the worst ever to wear the hoops!

Termy, may I call you that? I disagree with Ideal because I fundamentally dislike him. I can't take someone seriously that never actually watches games. Actually, that's not entirely true, I could respect someone's opinion if they weren't so vitriolic with so little experience. Oh, and if you think this is the worst team ever to wear the hoops then I guess you've not been watching long.

HTH

I can understand fundamental disliking. But you are right. It is not the worst team to wear the hoops. You remember Brian Bason, Alan Judge and Wayne Tutty to name 3 from 1983?

Mate, I saw my first game in Feb 1970. Some things have improved.. some things have got worse.

anyone who went to the 3-0 defeat at Oxford for Bullivants last game will realise this is nowhere near the worst team to wear the hoops.

I would have been there had I not had to be in Birmingham for a shitty training course. But we are getting there fast! And my first game was a little while after your's Para - August 1971. Home to Chester. First 4th division game at Elm Park. And yes, there have been better times and there have been worse times. Difference now is that we are being told we have a world class model.

holsgrove breaks a leg add to that putting noses out of joint within weeks of his appointment re the tommy smith saga and the embarrasing end result and the lack of any evidence of his so called passing display of football since Notts F at home.

plus his immature and patronising comments like "I thanked Steve for leaving me with a good team".

Adapt or die, A good manager adapts tactics to the players at his disposal and the league table. Play it simple, play it dirty, play to win at all costs. None of this fancy passing nonsense.

I know, let's use Federici's arrow kicks to get the ball forward more and if the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation isn't working, let's go 4-4-2...

I have just been on the club website and read BR's comments following the game at the weekend. The man is clearly deluded and his comments are completely cake and arse. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but now I wonder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brenda you are a c0ck!

http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/footb ... _of_player

“But we probably don't have the type of player, at the moment, to do what we want them to do. I've been able to reflect on what I need, the problem is I may not be able to get that straight away.

“We have to work with the players to get positive results and that brings confidence, then success.”

Firstly - you have had £3million to bring in "your type of players" - All of whome have underperformed in my eyes - this is down to you to sort.
Secondly - any manager worth his salt will change and adapt his tactics/approach to work with what the players he has got - you dont.

Rant over - Rodgers Out!

reflect on what he needs? Didn't he have the whole of pre-season for that? If he doesn't have the type of player he needs, it's ENTIRELY down to him, he bought players in on contracts and on loan. He's a complete and utter buffoon.

It's back to basics tonight whatever that means - maybe 4-4-2 ???

John Major went back to basics and ended up out on his ear so watch out Brenda.

Just watched his interview ahead of tonights game on Reading player. Sounds like he is getting worried about keeping his job (Which he should be). Talking about how results are now more important than perfomances. Also about going back to basics which from what i can gather means 4-4-2 as he said he doesn't have the right players here at the moment to do what he wants them to do.

This is the exact thing that he did with Watford last season. Let's just hope that when he went back to a style of play that got Watford good results happens to us.

Although im not sure that will happen.

I've always said results were important, that we win rather than play pretty football. I remember when we were winning regularly during the Pardew/Coppell eras, people like Boringmouth Royal were always complaining that we were playing "hoofball". I said the style of play isn't really important as long as we win.

Royal Rother is another who complains about us playing that style and calls players, who play that, very unintelligent.

Ideal Oh yeah, and lets not forget that in addition to the £3M+ he in fact spent, he had another £2M lined up to spend on Tommy Smith.
So in fact he had £5M to spend, and failed to sign a single player worth keeping!!!!

Brendan Rodgers can oxf*rd right off!

I'm no Blandon apologist but I though we bought Raz and McEnoof because the Smith deal fell through - not in addition.
