Just back, not read any of the comments yet, I'll do that tomorrow. Here are my thoughts.

Finally Rodgers realises that 4-5-1 isn't working, so he changes it for an extremely difficult away game against a team that are scoring for fun. And he drops Karacan, who has been consistently one of our better players in the process, making 5 (FIVE!) changes in the process.

He plays two defensive midfielders, one who is incapable of stringing passes together and the other who is good, but about as mobile as my gran (DEAD) and only has the legs for 60 minutes at best.

That means that our only creative play is going to come from two pretty inconsistent wingers, who are both lightweight and prone to go missing, on what is possibly the narrowest pitch in the division.

He possibly makes a couple of good (SHOCK, well one) substitutions at half time, although even that was too late, only for Ivar to lunge in for the 4th or 5th time in the match within seconds of the restart and get himself sent off, deservedly s. And that's the captain!

A note on the ref; he was atrocious. Thank Christ he made one of the most ridiculous sendings off I've ever seen early on, or we'd have been looking at double figures conceeded.

Federici: 4 - arguably had some level of fault in all of the goals IMO, even if he pulled off some great saves and had no chance because of the oxf*rd in front of him.
Tabb: 6 - didn't think he put a foot wrong.
O'Dea: 5 - poor, but not nearly the worst
Ingimarsson: 0 - oxf*rd idiot, did nothing all game but lunge at players, committing fouls and get himself stupidly sent off.
Mills: 5 - poor, but what hope did he have in a defence with Gunnarsson and O'Dea and no support.
Cisse: 3 - waste of space
Gunnarsson: 5 - tried hard but simply not fit enough to start anymore
McAnuff: 3 looked good for 10 minutes first half. I think he went and hid in the stand for the rest of the game
Kebe: 6 - dangerous, even if he did his usual oxf*rd up every opening he created. Someone I spoke to after the game said only two of his crosses actually reached a Reading player. Probably our best player on the pitch
Long: 3 - Fat, slow and shit.
Church: 5 - Didn't really notice him, which means he oxf*rd up less than most of them

Howard: 5 - gave us more purpose, but then Darren Caskey could have achieved that. Scored but woeful corners
Siggurdsson: 5 - nothing really came off for him, couple of decent shots and a couple of poor ones. Think he was wasted in the deeper role, but I may be being biased in his favour
HRK: 5 - looked up for it, but needed to calm down and play smarter, didn't have a lot of impact

Rodgers: -10

I said I'd make up my mind on him after today's match. Well I think he's oxf*rd useless and should oxf*rd off. BUT I want him in charge for Leicester for a few reasons.
a) So Madejski can come down and do the post match interview sacking him live on SKY
b)He at least TRIED to do the right thing today, even if he did get it completely wrong IMO.
c)I don't want him able to leave blaming a badly timed goal from a freekick and an idiotic lunge by Ingimarsson.

Formation wise today was a step in the right direction. I want to see if he can take that step properly against Leicester so it is actually effective. I can't see him getting it right. But what's one game at this stage?

This was right up there with Oxford away, when Bullivent left. A total shambles from the moment QPR scored. They should have at least 7 tonight. Rodgers is way out of his depth I'm afraid, we can sack him in the morning but the damage is already done. We could have Alex Ferguson with Arsene Wenger as his number 2 and they would not be able to turn this shower around.

imagine a team with zero creativity

imagine a team that has changed formations and players about 50 times since the start of the season

imagine an elderly icelandic midfieder actually laughing out loud to himself when he misplaced a pass

imagine a team enjoying a one man advantage and then going two down in ten minutes...

imagine changing your formation at half time only to see the plans go up in smoke when you get sent off after 5 seonds.

imagine an away support that seemed to be willing qpr to score a 4th just to end the overall misery of the rodgers era.

that was 20th October 2009 - I wont forget it in a hurry.

Never have i seen such a different reaction of opposing managers when the third went in, Magilton hopping like Zebedee and Rodgers who looked like he was the last man on the earth

What a disgrace that was, i wasn't expecting anything from tonight but a gutless, clueless performance i didn't.

My patience (as well as a few others) finally snapped tonight after the 2nd goal went in! 10 men playing against 11 on a tight pitch and they passed it through us like a knife through butter. There is no billy big bollocks taking this team by the balls and injecting some fight into this team, instead we're once again weak in tackles and giving the ball away far too easily. Credit to QPR, they have the potential to be a top six side this season although i wished they'd kept thier foot on the gas at the end and spanked us so a message could be sent loud and clear to the chairman and not just the fans. I see another usually loyal chairman, Steve Gibson sacked Southgate tonight despite beating Derby (as well as us comfortably) and only being a point from the top. How i'd love that to happen tomorrow morning but i think we're going to embarassed in front of the nation come Monday evening!

We're not Read Madrid
we're not Hadjuk Split
we are Reading Football Club
and we are fucking shit!!!

bigshaka'away' Highlight for me of the night was when we actually managed to get three passes in a row (counted one by one with ironic cheers by us) and won a throw, only then to produce a foul throw. Classic stuff.

.

Once again, Rodgers proves hes a useless twat!

Shaun Cummings has a shocker at the weekend against a side who he used to play for therefore know his weakness', so Rodgers decides to drop the bloke and play a center midfielder who looked all but out of the picture at the club after not even making the subs bench in previous weeks?

Now dont get me wrong, im not backing Cummings here as he was utter oxf*rd at the weekend, but Rodgers could see he was struggling to cope with Jerome Thomas yet did oxf*rd all to sort the situation out, therefore making Cummings the scapegoat when West Brom finally got their second goal. Then to drop him, probably our only recognised right back, bearing in mind Julian Kelly wont even get a look in, and play someone out of position in his place tonight must do wonders for his morale!? Now, hes bad enough on a normal day, but after knocking his confidence like that, could he possibly get much worse? If you cant even have faith in players you have chosen to bring into the club yourself then it is clear that you have no idea Mr Rodgers.

On a positive note, and probably the only positive you could take from a shit team performance, Jay Tabb proved tonight how much of an asset he is to the club, filling in out of position after being blocked out for weeks on end. Why he doesnt play every week i dont know.

Southgate sacked after a 2 - 0 win against derby, leaving middlesborough 1 point off the top.... Rodgers still in a job after a 4 - 1 defeat to QPR and only 2 wins all season? Open your eyes Mr Madejski.

...to round things off, oxf*rd OFF RODGERS!

That was an absolute load of naughty words not helped by the lead official who was determined to make himself the star of proceedings.

Outplayed by 10 men for the 15 minutes or so that that applied, nothing on target until about 75 minutes and did the back 4 really comprise of 3 central defenders and a midfielder? Or was it a back 3? I reckoned 4 as Clodagh mention something about back to basics yesterday

The manager has lost the plot (assuming he ever had one), the chairman doesn't give a castlemaine any more and we're left with players who are out of their depth at this level; Kebe, Long, Cummings, Federici etc.

So on Monday night we can all play spot the crowd and time how long it takes for the first rounds of Clodagh out, Madejski out and sack the board to be heard

Personally this position has been created by the disgraceful penny pinching attitude of the summer forcing a revolution rather than evolution and a manager who does not have the experience to handle that yet.

A total embarrassment and it could have been 9 or 10. Felt sorry for Tabb, a left sided midfielder who was playing at right back--what was that all about?? Our midfield was pedestrian and lacked any pace and I'm afraid Macanuff is eveything that the Watford fans said of him. Federici looks slow getting down and conceded yet another goal at the near post. Church and Long must be the most ineffective strike pairing I have seen play for Reading over the years and why Rasiak was not brought on at any stage just about sums it up.

A relegation team if ever I saw one and a totally clueless Manager and coaching staff. The current situation does not surprise me one bit and Madjeski must take most of the blame for this. I'm sorry but as promising as most of our youngsters are they are clearly not good enough for the Championship.

Gareth Southgate anyone??

I'm just speculating here, but I think after Cummings was so poor in the previous game that he got dropped and replaced by somebody else.

No pleasure in gloating, solely because, it was men against boys, you lot are terrible and Kebe being your best player last night, puts it all into perspective.

You had the best chance to beat us this year and you finally took it.

QPR are a good side this year, get a decent forward over Jan and you could go up.

Maybe.
