I have seen one game this season - Preston away where we won.

I'm backing the boys to get a win in my second game of the season - on Monday.

And then we can all go home, sleep well and life will be good.

Yeah! and if Custer had seen one less indian on the day at Wounded Knee, it would have been a picnic for him and the seventh cavary!

It might lighten the mood around other home games.

But teams probably come to the Mad Stad knowing that they get stuck in, it'll make a big difference to the atmosphere in the ground.

I don't think the number of Indians at Wonded Knee would have bothered Custer much. He had been dead for 14 years.

I do sometimes wonder if our home and away form had been reversed over the last nine months, so most fans had at least gone home with something to cheer about in that time, if things would seem quite so bad. Sure, fans would be pissed off still, but 14/15 consecutive games of boring failure football really takes its toll on a fan's patience.

A home win earlier on would convince us all that the nightmare of last season ws over and would give us a huge confidence boost.

However leaving it this late is just a little too late I fear. It will be a nice little confidence boost, but I can't see it being much more as we'll still be sceptical as to why even Rodgers' team hasn't been able to turn things around.

It'll take something like 3 good wins in a row to really start changing the tide.

Spot on. It might please the home support to actually see a win.
I think we've all forgot what that feels like.
It will be a slight pressure release on the team to give slight confidence but it will not cure the ills of inconsistency.
It might give BR a breathing space but not for too long. A win still leaves us 4th from bottom anyway so a run of positive 3 point results is needed to get us out of the mire. I currently cannot see where that is coming from.

I have the season review from 05/06... so I know what a home win feels like. I think we should all boycott the game and watch it on Sky

1) Its warmer
2) We dont have to show our faces when the inevitable happens
3) We already know the score like Derran Brown

No question but those were away and generally our away form has been good since Jan (last couple of games outstanding)

Getting the monkey off our back at home can only be a good thing for the confidence of players and fans alike. If we are going to stay up (or even move up the table) then we need decent home form.

The fact that we can't win at home surely puts more pressure on the players to win away. Therefore a home win would ease the pressure, both home and away, and possibly turn our form around. Having said that, we're never going to win at home again so it's irrelevant.

It will give BR an excuse to troll out the "World Class Model", "Premier Class", "Promotion" quotes like never before. He will strut around as if he has just won the Euro Lottery. What's more important than a home win is the appearance of a team performance. If we play our hearts out and do everything possble then the results should come. I don't think this is going to happen because the spring has been stretched too far. Change is needed. Either a shed load of new faces (won't happen cos we have no money) or an new manager (won't happen either because we have no money for compensation). Bottom line is that we are dicked! We are stuck with what we have.

Never mind, we will be the first football club in history to be relegated but make a profit!
