He is the only person in the world I would be more unhappy with than Rodgers, f this was to happen I would absolutely not go. So 1 positive from it

Southgate could be said to have been a success for a while at 'Boro. Zola at West Ham? Not going so well now thankfully, but people seem to think he's been a success because of last season.

i would not say that any of these have been successful, simply because none have won anything, or even come close to winning anything.

I think you're wrong. We approached Peterbrough, requesting to speak to Ferguson. I don't think we were going to appoint him straightaway, well, at least not before talking to him. Therefore, who knows if he was the first choice?

The Tommy Burns thing, we did actually speak to him and offered him the job. Which he turned down, preferring to coach the Newcastle youngsters.

I'm hoping RFC are setting their sights higher than those 3 tbh. I'd sooner have McDermott than any of those 3.

I'm excited now more than I have been for a long time - perhaps this February.

In May I was down about Copps going and then the clear out. Rodgers annoyed me and I didn't see what he was attempting to do. So now we have got the Coppell and losing players thing out of our system we have the opportunity to get someone interesting in and start to move up the table.

Would be very happy with Ferguson as he is ambitious, knows how to carry himself and has achieved success before.

it depends how ambitious you are. To me, winning silverware or gaining promotion is a measurement of success, not plodding along doing a good job. For those in the premier league you add cups or european football. Personally i don't think Bruce was successful at Wigan, but he did a good job in keeping them up.
