Interesting, apparently they could well be involved on Saturday.

Over the christmas period, they could be involved.

May see them on the bench at some point but very much doubt they will get on the pitch. But we'll see.

Perhaps, but it's still good to see them both on the fringes of the squad at such a young age.

Saw them a few times in the reserves last season. Both pretty decent.

Really really lightweight though, especially Taylor, although I should imagine they've improved since last April.

didn't someone actually do a check on the squads listed for each club, and find the statement to be true?

Regardless, Madejski sacked the object of your man-crush, therefore it has to be a lie. To you.

I quite like McDermott actually even though I disagree with the dismissal of Rodgers. Doesn't matter who we've got in charge though, if your chairman's not prepared to shell out for a new striker after you've let go of 3, you're going to struggle.

Said when we were down to one striker that Baggie should get a place on the bench (look at me!), he's raw but he's a real nuisance with an eye for goal and is worthy of his squad number. Taylor's has potential from what i've seen in the reserves but would be surprised if he made the bench over the next couple of games.

What it showed was that Tightarse was playing with numbers again to get the answer he wanted. The 'largest squad' took no account of all of the players shipped out on loan. Likewise it's very easy to have a massive squad if you keep allocating squad numbers to kids, regardless of whether they have the quality and experience required to compete effectively at Championship level.

I guess no other teams include young players in their squad lists then.

It was posted on the other thread, our squad was among the three biggest.

But how many of that "squad" are largely untried and unproven youngsters or loanees?

On the back of every programme our squad is always far bigger than anyone elses, has been so for quite a while. Yes many are youngsters, they still get paid though, i think our squad is too big. We need to get rid of quite a few average players and then see if we can get in one or two good players.

Isn't it funny how despite supposedly "one of the largest squads" in the division we're languishing at the bottom of the table?

Getting rid of our best players and promoting kiddies to our first team on 27p per week does not make this a large squad.

Quality not quantity.

Madejski is talking utter ****.

Promoting these two new toddlers to the first team doesn't change the fact that we've gotten rid of our best players and replaced them largely with loanees and kids (who were here anyway).

And let's just say all the above is rubbish and we do have a big squad of decent first teamers who should be pushing for promotion then noone can deny that Tommy Smith's place IS STILL VACANT.

The club made it clear that Rasiak was IN ADDITION to Tommy Smith, meaning they had earmarked a place in the squad for a deent striker on biggish wages. Now that we didn't get him where's the rush to fill this gaping hole? Why is the tightarse not saying "yeah we need to put those resources into getting someone else instead"??
