Mr Hammond, is our selection process flawed?

by Factfinder » 30 Dec 2009 02:05

Alan Irvine, Darren Ferguson, Brendan Rodgers, all short-listed to replace Coppell during the summer.
All currently out of work.
Exactly who advises our board of directors Mr. Hammond?

The board went on references rather than results

Sure they have learnt and will come back stronger and wiser

Yep, it's the young Frank Lampard Snr. He later went on to star in Waking the Dead.

Frank Lampard Snr yesterday.

Is it Brendan Rodgers agent?

He certainly doesn't have to work again. The amount of money he got out of Watford and Reading

Hi, I'd love to have a budget that big.

Isn't it against FIFA rules for clubs to pay agents now ?

But these agents are a little bit cleverer than FIFA. What they do is negotiate a signing on fee for their player, by adding onto it the amount they want. The club pays the combined amount to the player and the player passes on the agents bit.

Nicky Hammond was really keen on Irvine, I must confess that I thought he was a good choice, but the sacking taints him now I suppose. Same with Ferguson.
IIRC Peter Taylor was high on the Club's wish list when Pardue left.

Certainly is an insecure job - football management.
