Newcastle Match Postponement - who is to blame?

by Dirk Gently » 07 Jan 2010 18:20

This is Hobhob, so everything that happens must be somebody's fault!

- and, of course, just one person's fault - no combination of circumstances allowed, so one vote only!

It is quite clearly Rodgers. You can chart this failure right back to his decision to make the first 5 games pre-season. The club have been consfused into thinking it is only just December and are therefore simply not prepared for weather this severe this soon.

In addition Rodgers failure to strengthern in the areas we really needed, like grit, heating and shovels has contributed. Instead the genius decided that he would get Hammond to spend his maintenance budget on trowels and brushes to carefuly align the grass for his preferred passing style of play.

Finally his ludicrous decision to constantly rotate the grounds staff which has left them confused and unsure of their role has meant McDermott has been unable to reinstate the needed clear hierarchy and role responsibility needed to bring out a first rate maintenance of the stadium.

Thank oxf*rd he's gone.

I voted for Nick 'don't call me Nicky' Hammond, we could all see the team was crying out for a sunshine signing but oh no he signed snow and ice!

Bollocks. Look at the pics on the OS, the snow on the pitch is very thin compared to the surrounding area. Gallery - top row - right end pic.

Do you seeeeeeee?

SDR talking out of his arse, as usualllllllllllllllll

Having consulted my inside sources I can confirm no one is to blame and in fact this is an excellent piece of strategy from the club. Our new big money signings are expected to be unveiled on Monday and as a result of the Blessed SJM graciously allowing snow to fall on the stadium they will now be available for the rearranged game.

The depth of snow is a mark of the club's ambition and I am reliably informed the snow here is better than anywhere else and other clubs have asked if they can have the same snow next week.

I think the club could have shown greater clarity in all of this and unveiled the snow to all media sources.

Besides I want to blame Dirk.

Pity all the hot air on HNA couldn't be redirected to snow clearing duties, the whole country could be free of it in no time!

It's based on snow used in Milan apparantly.

Sure, some like to gloat about his sacking, but there's little doubt in my mind that it's no coincidence that there was no snow until Rodgers got sacked. It just goes to show how you lot underestimated the job he was doing.

Blame it on not being on the tele. They would of made far more effort if Sky's money was hanging over their heads!
