(.)Boobies(.)
Royal_Delight Reading post says the match is still on for now. Don't see temperatures changing drastically so I think the match could still go through. Besides, a match in the snow could be great ( for those watching at home  ). We could see players falling, hesitating to run etc.

Why would that be funny? The pitch as said is fine, it's the surrounding areas and pathways to the stadium that are deemed unsafe for supporters.

Its gonna be f*cking cold and those at home IMO would enjoy it better as they not only are they warm, they can enjoy a nice cup of coffee while watching the match. In my opinion of course.

Wrap up warm at Anfield and throwing abuse at the players is the proper way to do it.

Oh and beer > coffee regardless of where you're watching!

Man City is on tonight so i really don't see why Wednesday won't go ahead.

Looking likely to be on now.

From Red & White Kop pre-match thread http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=252142.0
"Stanley Park Car park being cleared and gritted now- pavements immediatley around ground being cleared- pavements were coaches park alongside Stanley Pk now being cleared as well.
Warning though a few hundred yards away from these areas it's like an ice rink, wear the correct gear or a fall on the old backside is a certaintey"

I've been in Manchester / Liverpool / Blackpool all day and it all looks relatively fine to me.

Has anyone else not got their tickets? Going with me Dad so they got posted back down to Basingstoke, but it's been a week and they still haven't arrived.. Going on the duplicate ticket list apparently.

We sent back 400 tickets I've heard, what was the allocation?

I'm thinking about putting a few bets on for tomorrows game - 5 x £2.

One I've seen I'm keen to go for is HT Reading / FT Liverpool - 25/1 - But I find weird is that the odds are less for HT Reading / FT Reading at 22/1..

£50 not bad return for a £2 stake which isn't that unrealistic..

Makes sense to me.

If Reading are ahead at half time then Liverpool will have to score at least 2 more goals than Reading in the second 45 minutes for you to win the bet at 22/1

I guess.. I just thought the odds would be higher for us to lead and hang on to it, rather than have the lead and Liverpool take it from us, considering they are a bigger team and all by far. If it were some same level team then it'd totally make sense.

Met office has severe weather warning for heavy snow in various areas today including north west england. We have had some overnight snow in reading but wouldnt call it heavy at this stage.

What's the weather like up north at the moment?
