Ian Royal TBF - they are a poor Premier League side without Gerrard and Torres. With those two interested and playing all match they'd have beaten us.
They're poor with them too - as their results suggest.

Focher this is what the scousers thought before the game (sorry if its already been posted)

LOL!

Almost worth ringing up with a Scouse dialect and trying to buy a ticket. Could always explain that you left a couple of minutes early to miss the traffic!

That Friday Feeling
Royal Lady He could have given RFC a bit more credit imho - but he's a dead man walking and knows he'll be gone pretty soon. SSC for Liverpool job?

Random Bin Dipper Seen Coppell do a couple of our games now and he could hardly stop himself from bouncing up and down on his seat by the end the little cnut. Spoken like the true ex Reading manager and proto- Rooney- judas- manc- playing- career-blighted- by-LFC-Magoo lookalike that he is. Expect him to be doing a few more of our games before this seasons out.

He has a point, I think it's the happiest I've ever seen Sir Steve looking!!

What the he overlooks though is that Coppell is (or used to be) a Liverpool fan.

'You now what hurt most about tonight? Seeing Mcanuff miss that chance. What a goal that would have been. I felt for the boy then, and I feel for him now. He deserved to score that. That was the most electrifying piece of skill I've seen in a match at Anfield all season. That's what I'll take out of this game. That says alot I think.'

Nice point well made. Luckily it didn't cost us the game but it would have been one hell of a goal to win a tie

Two quick things - I was sitting in one of the boxes with 9 Liverpool fans (I know - corporate tart, but it was free!)

1) Agree with the Liverpool poster on the thread above - I was gutted for Jobi missing after the run. The goal would have been right up with Ricardo Villa (Spurs v City cup final replay in the 80s) and Maradona. Astonishing skill and the fans I was with were amazed.

2) Liverpool were - as they always are - incredibly graceful in defeat. Whilst there was a lot of wrath being vented at their own players they stood and applauded our team at the end (and the fans) from all round the ground and nobody said we were anything other than worthy winners.

Oh, and I went mental when we scored both times.....Gerrard's wife was in the next box and saw me celebrating through the partition!!!!

PEARCEY
FiNeRaIn I don't like liverpool really but no need to mock them, they weren't particularly aggressive with us over any of our games in recent years.

How they are feeling there we've felt most of this season, especially on HNA.

Their fans showed minimal respect to us following the game at The Madejski....they deserve all they get.

Paps and I got called dirty Cockney scum last night.

Made my night.

TBM
Handsome Man Gabriel Clark gave him the Paxman treatment and Rafa looked a pathetic beaten man.

ITV were angry as it means they can no longer show Liverpool games on ITV1 this season

aside from the twunts mentioned above, everyone else outside the ground and in the pub were both gracious and complimentary. And immensely gutted.

Terminal Boardom Thing is, we deserved to win.

End of!

As I said elsewhere, without Torres and Gerrard, the Bin Dippers are mid-table League 1 at best!

Seriously i think they're about Newcastle's level.

I'd go with this. Ones in the pub were furious with Rafa and the players for the performance, but were as graceful as you could wish about us fully deserving the win.
