West Stand Flash Rasiak - 300k
Long - 70K
Church - Academy/Free
Thor - Loan

We spent 370k on a strikeforce and people wonder why we cant score goals. This club is a joke.
As long as Egoman is here, this club will only go backwards.

So depressing being a Reading fans its scary.

We've spent more than that just on those four players. What are their wages, what was the cost of training Church and Long through the Academy for several years, what was the loan for for Thor?

Nothing to saw we will stay up!!! Not a great deal has changed....we have chances and we fail to score. We continue to concede.

We only managed a 1-0 win against a poor Burnley side and we had plenty of chances to better this. 1 win at home in the league this season.

In the bottom 3 with a gap building....we are going down! We beat Liverpool and many think we will be ok, we also beat Liverpool in the season we got relegated from the Premier League!

John Peel I'm sorry, but our players ARE good enough. We've shown glimpses of quality in some of the games and in theory our position is a false one, so it's obviously there. However, the drive and ambition isn't there. Our players just aren't hungry enough, as was shown against Plymouth and Forest first half. We've also have no one to take the place of Wally Downes to sort the defence out.

Load of w@nk. The issue is we cannot score goals. The club need to buy a striker as they sold all our decent ones so my issue is with the clueless w@nks that run the club. Everyone can see we need a goalscorer, so why haven't we bought one in? There is so much pressure on our defence as the strikers never score. Shane long, has he even scored a league goal with the minutes he's been on the pitch?

Yet McDermott drops Church and plays him and signs another defender, because that's exactly what we need!

In fairness though, I guess Long has hit top form after 1 goal in 20 games.

If that happens against Barnsley Donny and Plymouth we're finished. But as I said elsewhere, this game is not where we should be expecting to get points from.

Sheffield may not have outplayed us, but they are nevertheless a decent team and on form. If we lose to the other three we've got next THEN i'll come back and start ranting.

Ian Royal Yeah, defending isn't our problem at all!!!

Its a problem, but if you've seen the pattern of a large amount of our games this season we've failed to take our chances. forest, scunthorpe, swansea, etc.

Coupled with an iffy defence we are truly shite.

Still hope you're having a nice time in Barbados, what with being down to your last £50M+ or so

Our only hope now is that Kingsley turns out to be a Secret Millionaire!

You Madejski lovers take note, hes oxf*rd up your dreams

You mean that one day the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners won't sit down together at the table of brotherhood and it's all Madejski's fault? The pcunt

Really? Everyone knows the major investment in any signing these days is the cost of the wages, yet nobody ever factors that into the equation.
If the cost of training players through the academy is marginal, then presumably we won't be bleating about the investment we have made in players like Church and Siggurdson when a bigger club looks to sign them? And loan fees can be quite high, from the figures I've heard, so again signing Thor on loan might not be a negligible sum.

I also lov how everyone assumes that if we haven't signed a striker it's simply because the club hasn't tried. You assume that players of sufficient quality are a) available and b) interested. If the only way we could sign new strikers would be to lure second-rate players with unrealistic wages, then I'd rather we didn't bother.

oxf*rd it, I'm off to ASDA.

strap Preston doing us a favour at Peterborough. Looks like Peterborough are a lost cause, so we're left with hoping Watford go into Admin, .

How many more times do you all need telling - it ain't going to happen (at least this season). There's about as much chance of it happening as there is of Madejski releasing £3M in this transfer window to sign a decent goalscorer! And, even if it did, we are going to be so many points behind them as to make absolutely no difference whatsoever to our survival prospects.

If we add up all the points we are going to give away because we shouldn't be expecting them, then we might as well start playing in League One now!

Not that long ago we were being assured we wouldn't even flirt with the bottom three! When will the RTG's wake up?
