Definately a difficult one to predict.

Personally I think we'll go through out of sheer want and enegry. Our boys just don't give up and don't make it easy for anyone. Really, we should concentrate on the leauge, but as we're looking a lot better now, with a few nice home games, I think we'll treat the cup with importance. After all, I think our recent run of form has come directly from the confidence of the cup run. It wouldn't hurt to get some more!

I see Villa as our hardest target yet; good on the counter and hard to deal with from corners etc. On paper we should lose, but on the day we should have a real chance.

We need Howard and Kebe on form (some crowd noise will do it for Kebe!)

We need to practice our corners too. We're not getting anything from them at the moment and it's costing us. SHunt wasn't the best with delivery, but last year we did well from them still. We need a new Doyle or NHunt on the near post to flick a few in.

I'm going for a very nervy 2-1 Royals.

URRZZZZ!!!

I'm going for 2-1 Reading
Sidwell to be sent off after coming on as a late sub.

Shame it didn't go to extra time today.

Not entirely sure that I subsribe to this view that they had on the radio that winning the League Cup would distract them from the FA Cup game.

Granted they will be up for making amends against us to keep themselves in with a chance of some silverware, but equally had they won it they might have come to us on a high and absolutely smashed us. Having lost there's surely going to be a bit of doom and gloom down their training sessions this week?

Having said that I worry about this as much as the Liverpool game!

Villa, are a great team with lots of depth. They've only lost once in 2010.... not many can boast that.

Away we would lose, at home............................................we will win

2-0 Villa.......

Aston Villa are a top team with a top defence, our forwards won't give them much trouble. Ok we have beaten Liverpool and we beat West Brom but Aston Villa will simply be too tough for us to beat regardless of who we have beaten. Ok, we may not 'roll over' as such but they'll still be stronger and get the win. It may be worse though who knows but I'm expecting a decent performance from us but can not see progression in this year's FA cup any further!

I think our good cup run is the reason behind our improved league form and so fear following our certain FA cup exit on Sunday we will struggle a bit again. That is my real fear...!!!

Much as I hate to say it, I can not see us doing any better than a 3-0 defeat. Villa will have everything to prove following today's defeat and I can see them being 2-0 up after 15 minutes. We will huff and puff but concede a third shortly before half time. The second half will be a non event.

But what do I know? I predicted a 9-0 win for Liverpool at Anfield!

The only chance we've got is keeping Sig and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Kebe injury free. Certainly if Sig doesn't play we've no chance. With Sig we've got a chance. I'm convinced of this.

I've predicted us to lose every round, and we have deserved to get through every round so far. Whatever happens it's been a great run, the last league side left in the competition is no mean achievement. A lucky 1-0 win for Villa.

The result today could work in our favour - there is more pressure on them now next week.

If they'd won they'd have come here super confident with a cup already in the bag and probably smashed us.

3-2

Villa take the lead, then score one just either side of HT. At which point they relax and think the game is over. We power into the game getting one back, then another with 10 minutes to go. Pile on the pressure but can't quite find the equaliser.

Except Villa won't score all their goals in the first 15 minutes. THAT was a horrific opening to a game.

I'm going for a 1-1 draw because:
• We just don't do clean sheets against an opposition of this quality and there's no way we can keep Agbonthingy quiet for an entire match with our "speedy" defence (Berty notwithstanding).
• However, with Long back (probably coming off the bench to replace Church at the head of a 4-3-2-1 like the Anfield formation) and Kebe in form we have a reasonable chance to grab one ourselves.
• Oh, and we never get through any FA Cup round without a replay.
