Reading have never been a team for the big occasion*. I am chuffed that we have managed to turn our season around as a result of the FA Cup run, but I'm not really motivated to go to any Reading games. Particularly not Derby.

*Except for Brentford and we nearly fecked that up

The 94/95 season we were 3-0 up at half time against Port Vale following an excellent first half performance with a Lee Nogan hatrick.

In the Second half we sat back conceding 3 goals for a 3-3 draw.

Not a defeat but I thought we would miss out on the play offs that day.

Right, so Anfield wasn't a big occasion was it?

The fact is, we are a lowly Championship side, Villa are pushing for Champions league. I was never comfortable even at 2-0 and cringed every time I heard the Wemberley song.

Anfield wasn't a big occasion was it to be fair? It was a FA cup 3rd round replay.

Peterborough away this season?

Get over it. Villa were superb when it mattered. We were excellent first half and we all knew they would come out flying. Sadly, we couldn't cope but we did not feck it up. It might have been a different matter had we only gone in 1-0 up.

Anfield was never billed pre match as a big occasion. We maaged to pull a good performance out and it was only a big occasion becuase we won. It makes sense.

Bristol City away the day after the Queen Mum died: 3 nil up rapidly became 3-3.

I can't believe that no one's mentioned that we chucked away a 2-0 lead at Peterborough this season.

It was almost worse being 2-0 up at half time, knowing it was ours to give away.

Medusa, it was 2-0, then 2-1, then 3-1, then 3-3 at that game wasn't it?

Threw away a 2-0 lead at Blackpool last season.
