Sometime on Friday afternoon, the idiot sport reporter on BBCRB informed his audience that Simon Green was set to play up front for RFC. He'd corrected it by the next report though.

Media don't like us. I sent a snotty email this morning to BBC South over their complete failure to mention last nights game on the breakfast news this morning. I pointed out that while we know they cannot show the pictures for contractual reasons they could at least have mentioned it.

I have just had a telephone call from Roger Johnson- grovelling applogy, he will be speaking to the news editor to ensure it does not happen again. They have been to the club this lunchtime and there will be lots on the evening news.

He did mention that he is sick of Pompey too.

The metro in london on thursday morning had a full page dedicated to the FA Cup quarter finals, with full reviews of Spurs - Bolton, Stoke - Man City and Villa - Palace, and not even a mention of Reading.

Meridan Tonight match report 11/03/10

In sport and Reading saw off Derby in style with a 4-1 win at the Madejski Stadium last night, yes that is 4-1. The Royals took the lead with a goal from striker Shane Long and scored a second when he converted a penalty. Ryan Bertrand scored the 3rd for the Royals in the 69th minute, the 4th came 6 minutes later from Simon Church. Brian McDermot's men are now 4 points clear of the drop zone

Worse match report ever? The video footage accompanying this looked like it was recorded on a mobile phone.

Long missed the pen, Kebe scored the second, they failed to mention Derby scoring, failed to mention Derby having one keeper off injured, his replacement red carded and Robbie Savage playing in goal and if I recall correctly Church got the 4th 15 minutes after Bertrand got the third (BBC match report backs this up)

"Reading will believe they have more than enough to beat the drop this season and a Gylfi Sugurdsson brace handed them a sixth win in eight outings as they proved too strong for Bristol City."
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 37,00.html

Made me laugh, simple miss off by 1 key though it may be. And I want to keep an eye out for if it gets fixed, and then how long it takes them

"Sigurdsson and Brian Howard went close for Reading early on but keeper Adam Federici denied Adel Taarabt while Tamas Priskin missed the target.

Damion Stewart saw red before the break after a second booking for a foul on the Rangers keeper.

QPR held out with Sigurdsson and Jobi McAnuff denied by goal-line clearances, before the Icelander sealed the win."

From the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 565295.stm

Now, I wasn't at the match, but If he fouled his own keeper then he deserved his 2nd yellow.

I know it's not us, but, this really made me chuckle....

Arsenal defender Gael Clichy says he has struggled with the club's new 4-4-3 system this season.

From comeonboro:

"McAnuff - The Scot's campaign has certainly been a tale of two halves, as the forward has scored all eight of his goals since the turn of the year. Hopefully Middlesbrough can test the Irish international’s temper at the Riverside, as he has already been shown a straight red card twice this season."
