I don't want to get too positive but if Newcastle beat Forest on Monday they only need to win 2 more games to clinch automatic promotion, so they could be done by the time we play our game in hand against them on the 13th, which may or may not make it easier for us, which is nice

01/22 - Reading 23rd place.
03/24 - Reading 11th place.

Already looking forward to the WC and then next season. Hopefully not losing any important players (Sig..) and bringing in a decent striker, and we might just have a top 6 season next season.

30 points from 48 (16 games) since Big Mc took over. Assuming I've got my maths right. And I haven't taken too long over it...

1.875 pts / game which over a season = 86 pts Which is usually good for 2nd / 3rd.

McDermott is a genius, Rodgers was a retard and the squad is very definitely good enough.

Oh, and FA Cup victories against Liverpool, Premier League Burnley, 2nd place Championship West Brom and a damn hard fought quarter final against Aston Villa where we at least matched them for all but 10 minutes.

Dare to dream darlings, this could really happen. We're 7th if we win one of two games in hand on the crop of teams above us, and only 4 points off 6th if we do that too. What a turnaround. Would it be unprecedented, were we to do it (from second bottom in late January to a playoff place)?

If we beat WBA then we do have a chance no doubt. Cardiff have to play Swansea & Leicester again. They also have QPR away. Everyone keeps on about Cardiff but think Swansea are just as catchable.

Amazing - hats off to BM. Cannot believe we are 11th.

Never forget the direness and fragility of Cardiff's financial situation..... that could be the wild-card in this situation!

West Brom is the crucial one for me. It shows the cup form is definitely transferred and will give us a massive psychological edge in getting to, and winning the play offs. I still think we've left ourselves too much to do and it's a step too far. But we are doing ourselves proud and giving ourselves a the best chance we could.

Anyone else looked at Cardifs next four games (afte Palace)..?!

Leicester
Swansea
Forest
Us

Swansea have the easier run in, and if these two can draw then we could catch both..

Imagine if Cadiff went into admin at the end of the month too...

We still need to win 6 games at least I think - one of which being Cardiff away. WBA are there for the taking - can't see us beating Newcastle but we need to win the rest of the home games to do it probably.

Indeed - think of all the play off revenue we would lose out on if we finished 2nd!

Of our remaining 9 games 5 are at home and 4 away.
Of the 4 away games only 1 is against a team in the top half of the table (Cardiff)

Anything now seems possible !

It's great stuff though. Two months ago we were focused on teams like Shef Wed and Palace, now we're watching what Cardiff and Swansea are doing!

Really pleased and proper proud of the team. Simply not fearing relegation now is an amazing feeling after our poor start to the season. Bring on the bonus, it IS possible!!!

URRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!

I believe that if they're not in administration by tomorrow night then they won't get a points deduction this season. If they go into administration after tomorrow then any points deduction will take place next season.

So, on that basis we will have to catch them fair & square.

Much as I'd love it too happen I'd also like a few more youngsters & fringe players bedded in once we're safe as preparation for next season. Can't have it both I suppose.
