Fox Talbot What's the list of ex / current / future Reading players to play in World Cup Finals?
No loanees. No WC squad members.

EX
- Lenarduzzi - Canada - 82?
- Dixon - England - 86
- Webb - England - 90

CURRENT

- Convey - USA 06

FUTURE
- Mikhailov - Bulgaria -94
- Houghton - Eire - 94
- Seol - S Korea = 06

Must be more surely?

Canada qualified for the 1986 tournie if that helps at all - Lenarduzzi played in all three of Canada's matches. I certainly remember him starting in their opening fixture against France as he was mentioned before kick off as having played in England and I experienced the rage as Reading FC was inexplicably not mentioned. I will confess that I had to wiki to see if he retained his place.

Baines
Fox Talbot Good stuff chaps.

Leighton and Woods don't count - they were loanees as was Steve Archibald.

Anyone confirm Fae??

That's a bit tough, Foxy, next you'll be saying that we can't appropriate Daley's gold medals to Reading as well.

Absolutely. You'll notice I left out Reading's Ted Hanney despite him being in the 1908 Gt Britain Olympic Gold medal winning team (the nearest equivalent to a World Cup in them days).

Unfortunately he missed the actual final through injury so didn't get a medal despite playing the other games.

So Shaka (how could I forget), Darius, Fae, de la Cruz are in.
Not sure Quinn '86 got on the pitch.

Have we XI yet to pick a team from?
