Kitson12 Anything that drowns out singing at the football should be banned. End of!

yes lets all sit in silence and gently applaud sensible play.. cucumber sandwich with the vicar at half time too?

singing is part and parcel of the whole feeling of football (apart from at reading!)

What? You have clearly mis-read what I wrote. I DON'T want to stop the singing, I said anything that drowns out singing, so vuvuzelas, air horns etc should be banned. Not singing you blind idiot.

I have purchased my blue and white vuvuzela and will be happily parping away in the Upper West.*

* on my vuvuzela, if you were wondering.

If a dozen folk on here threatening to thump vuvuzla users is seen as indicative of opinion generally it will be a sad day at RFC. I couldn't care less if they are in the ground. I wouldn't expect many and if the deluded minority who think they are heard anywhere other than a few seats away can't outsing a few of these then they might as well pack up....

I would prefer to see a return of those old fashioned wooden rattles - throwbacks to the days when terraces really were atmospheric!

I shall bring a can of expanding foam with me next home game, and any vuvuzelas will get some in the end of them.

You mean there'll actually be some sound coming from that side of the ground?

At times the sounds of frenzied tutting and sshhhhing in the UW completely drown out the half-arsed chanting from the eALOLst, can't see anyone noticing the vuvzela orchestra when it kicks off.

Good try bobbytengreenbottles . You'll need a much longer line and much larger hook to get a bite on that comment.

It Is What It Is Coming back from south africa this weekend i picked up a few of the little beasts, and i must say they sound much much better at a match than they do on the radio / TV, and isnt just the consistent buzz that they portray! They are actually quite 'Carnivally' to be honest in a large quantity! It would liven up the quiet moments during the match, and could drown out the awful current celebration music? May work to our advantage and pee off the away fans, and could get rid of those pesky school kids down near the drummer who screech throughout the whole game, random generic songs along with a silence afterwards as everyone is like what the hell. Then again it could just be annoying during the match if we don't score so they just started getting blown randomly...

If you bring a vuvuzela to the Mad Stad I hope someone shoves up right up you a*se
