I'd imagine Andersen and McCarthy are going out on loan again. Mooney is absolute mince, but you'd have thought he would be in ahead of Taylor if he was staying.

Decent looking squad, a bit short on defensive cover though.

Agreed. We can only assume that Mooney is either going permanently or out on loan again. The same probably applies to the two young keepers probably going on loan .

What I would like to know is how he intends to play a different teams in each half when we only have two CB's plus Gunnar (who has played there). Anyone for Jimmy Kebe at CB? Or possibly Rasiak - he might be better there than up front!

GK: Hamer
DF: Griffin, Williams, Pearce, Mills
MF: Kebe, McAnuff, Howard, Tabb
ST: Long, Rasiak

GK: Locke
DF: Cummings, Kelly, Gunnarsson, CB
MF: Henry, Robson-Kanu, Karacan, Sigurdsson
ST: Church, Hunt

That leaves Taylor and Antonio. I expect Karacan or Tabb will play at full back and one of the full backs to move to centre back. Their places in midfield would then be taken by Taylor or Antonio.

I also wonder if Hamer will be given the full 90 minutes which is why Locke has been taken and that our other 3 senior goalkeepers will get their 90 minutes in Slovenia.

you forgot Scott Davies. he could play RB and Cummings at CB in 2nd half. Cummings played there for reserves last year

From Farnborough OS..

"We can confirm that Sky Sports News will be attending the game on Saturday and also Steve King will be using a squad of 20 players including a number of trialists.

Farnborough will be welcoming Sky Sports News through the turnstiles to Rushmoor Stadium for our huge opener against Reading F.C. The game has caught the eye of the media giants and they will be coming to cover the game themselves. With hundreds of pre-season games taking place this weekend it is now clear the Boro Vs Reading is rising above the rest in terms of excitement and talent.
Speaking of talent, Steve King has announced he has a squad of 20 for the game and it will feature a number of trialists"

Train from Reading to Farnborough North? Unless you aren't in Reading of course.

Nothing much happened so far. Raziak missed an easy header, Couple of shots from long, HRk causing a nuisance, and great banter from their fans.

Other than that its exactly as you'd expect.

BBCRB are supposed to be covering the game but at the moment there's no sound at all on their live stream, not even that stupid notification telling me i can't listen in to the game (which i wouldn't expect anyway considering its only a friendly)

How's Griffin playing so far? OS says that Kelly and Henry are quite the combo!

Griffins barely had a touch. That duo do look pretty threatening ( against the blue square team!!)

Bit of controversy, Reading "score" just over the line, Lino doesn't see it. Sep Blatter will be nervous about the repercussions
