Rumour: Lee Hendrie trial

by Scarface » 31 Aug 2010 22:39

God I hope this is a wind up, but Lee Hendrie will be on trial next week. Just what I've been told.

Scarface spot on again. He was as good if not better than Fordham yesterday. Now, who's the striker coming in?

YES!!! Ian Harte and Lee Hendrie all within 24 hours GTFI. That really makes up for losing the best player outside of the Premier League.

McDermott added: “We made an offer for someone else. We know who’s available, but I won’t act on haste.”

That's a little bit of good news. So we had a bid denied that means?

Perhaps we'll get whoever this is on loan. Will admit though, I am hoping Reading start building a team, losing Bertie the end of last season wasn't nice, any loans we make I hope are deals we can eventually make permanent otherwise we'll just lose them again, we need to start investing.

Hope there's a bus stop near Hogwood so they can use their bus passes.

Dear me, this is panic buy central.

I am just 'meh' with regards to Harte. Almost like NFL special teams we just going to wheel him out for set piece duties? Real ringing endorsement of Marcus Williams. 2 year deal as well? really?

He might do a job and i am certain he'll score the odd free kick or penalty here and there. My concern is his defending because he's never had much pace, now 33 I can't imagine him moving too well. I actually saw him play for Blackpool at Torquay in the FA cup the other year and he was crap but by all accounts he's sorted himself out a bit since then. We'll see I suppose.

Hendrie is gone, loads of clubs given him a chance and he's not been taken on for any length of time by them.

Desperate for a half decent forward and yet again failed to deliver.

Another one for the Reading FC transfer deadline day archives where I think BM, Hammond and co switched over to 429 and caught Premiership years 99/00 instead of Sky sports News.

Is this the signing that Jonny was alluding to?

Doubt it, as Hendrie is only on trial, the signing Jonny is alluding to will be permanent I assume.

People are assuming it is.

But I think BM must know we need a big bloke up front for the little blokes to run off, so
it will be a striker.

Hendrie is an added bonus (for want of a better word).

Wow. Just wow. Is this our level now? Players who can't get a club anywhere else? I'd love to be proved wrong, but Lee Hendrie?! Seriously?

This potential signing does not warrant a comment by SDR. Will Harte & Hendries wear those red uniforms?

Of course Les Ferdninand could be making a comeback! I await to see whether this was a Fordham wind up.
