biscuitman Invading the train station aswell

I remember on way home from leicester season we went up, best rfc moment of my life and the mood completely changed on the train back. Palace fans were on the same train as alot of rfc fans and tbf to them you could only hear palace fans singing, it was like they had won promotion!

Wake up folks. Palace sold/released half their team over the summer, and their top scorer, Ambrose, was injured today. They had two excellent chances in the first half (a corner volleyed over and Fed's excellent save) plus an unopposed header in the second (when Reading's offside trap failed). Soft doesn't begin to describe the first penatly, and we were not creating much before the second penalty.

Their wingers gave us trouble the whole match. If Dans had Ambrose available, his control and passing would have hurt us, and their wingers troubled our defense all afternoon. I cannot understand a 4-5-1 when playing an opponent that was so weakened. WTF are we going to do when we meet up with quality opposition - hope for more penalties that never were?

I'd like to see McD try a 4-4-2, as I'm not convinced that Howard behind the striker is going to create many goals.

I agree with 4-4-2 but ONLY if we get another striker in on loan

Today we were lucky...

...lucky that CP were so bad, Skippy didn't really have to touch the ball.

I saw him apoligising to all the players before kick off for any mistakes that he was likely to make and luckly, he didn't have to do anything.

Well done team on ensuring that Skippy didn't screw up.

Mr Harte, you were awesome.

DO YOU SEE?

Cheer up Upper West. Ambrose didn't play so why mention 'if'. Come on, it's a Saturday and we have 3 points in the bag. Get a beer..

Why do you have a personal vendetta against Federici? Every keeper makes a mistake or two. Federici is a decent keeper.

.....apart from the first half save right in the bottom corner from a lashed volley? I am no Federici fan but you ahve to give some credit where it is due, that was a top drawer save.

I felt he was a poor second choice to Mr USA who was kicked out of the club and I shake with fear everytime he goes near the ball and he seems to think he is soo damn good. I truely cannot see what anyone sees in him.

One reasonable effort does not make up for all the goals he has let in.

Did the result flatter us?

Were we lucky?

Palace are a poor side, yes.

But you can only play what is in front of you and 3-0 is as comprehensive a victory as one can hope for.

All well deserved goals too.

We did good. Well done boys.

Let's just see how we do against better opposition.

Long was awesome today. and winning Pens, what he does best!

Still think we looked very exposed at RB. Cummings did some good work at times which was good to see, but his basics are all wrong. Positionally hopeless and still 3rd choice RB for me. Dont hink we will see much of him unless Griffin is injured.

Harte looked a class above at time, but i think a zimmer will be on his xmas list. But to be fair, he wouldnt be paying at this level without his lack of mobility.

rotherwick_royal Howard seemed to be involved in everything

It really frustrates me how this bloke always seems to draw praise from our fans. He is quite awful in my opinion, and less than half of his passes find their intended recipient. For somebody who is supposedly a decent technical player he gives the ball away far too often, and despite playing the pass into Kebe today for the third, his through-balls are over-hit and rushed.

His miss at 2-0 was embarrassing, but still people praise him. He is, in my opinion, well below standard.

I did have good things to say about Harte's passing in that thread;-) It was the best I've seen for a season, and one cross field ball to Kebe was real quality.

After a slow first 35 minutes Long turned the game with his direct running leading to the pen. After that we improved and Karacan was a little midfield general winning possession and keeping his passes simple but effective. He also didn't panic when running forward with the ball. Can't be certain either pen was a stone-waller but we were a different side once we were ahead and could have scored a fair few more....but before the first pen Palace looked the better side.
Long had a very good game as well but Cummings still looks lost at times with some poor clearances in the first half...he also needs to be more physical but he did improve in the second 45.
Still 7th place and 4 unbeaten in the League.
