firstdivision We get an early goal, miss great opportunities and are now 2-1 down. I hate early goals.

This sums us up this season and is why we will finish mid-table.

Still, there is always the chance of late goals with us, so all is not lost.

Yes I am betting on that trait of ours too. Stuck with listening to Reading World, and it sounds like we have had a hatful, but the wrong person trying to convert them. Whats Curo upto now....

Jeffers217 And yet again this comes a few days after McDermott said publically he's happy with his squad! Obv we've got another 45 min left but Brian what the hell has to happen before you realise we need to sign a bloody STRIKER?!?!?!

The pendulum swings with each win /loss though.

True but the warnings signs were there 3 games into the season that we needed to sign a striker, we still haven't and if we had then this game could have been wrapped up by the sounds of it. If we were winning the majority of our games then I could understand those statements from the manager but it's evident that the squad is not good enough to challenge for promotion so there either needs to be a reality check and we need to accept that we are going to be mid table, and stop blabbering rubbish about ambition, or we need to sign players

Sorry, when exactly has anyone been raising expectations of a strong, serious, promotion challenge this season?

Easy pickings. It's not one striker we need, it's two. Still, we'll do enough to achieve mid-table safety but we really need some investment in January.

Despite the risk of being branded 'knee-jerk' I'll still say it, Harte out Armstrong in please

Totally agree, finally Hunt and Church (the 2 strikers who should have been up front together from the start of the season) come on

Come on Reading, show up my lack of faith and prove me completely wrong.

Bring on those late goals for a 4-3 win.

Howard only just came back into the side with Karacan playing almost double the games... and has 4 assists possibly 5 after today if I heard teh commentary right, and it was accurate of course.
