royalexile The Number of the Beast.

LOL - Not sure we could carry the tune but what a corking song

In the mist
dark figures move and twist
was all this for real
or just some kind of hell
Four and five, the number of the beast
Hell and fire was spawned to be released

He's from Le Havre,
And he ain't havre good,
He's six foot one,
And his family are goat farmers from Metz
Now he plays for Reading
And he will scare defenders
No doubt about that

Sung to the tune of Dylan's Lay Lady Lay.

It's already been suggested but alternate words could be.....

He did the mash
He did the manset mash
He did the mash
It was a mad stad smash
He did the mash
He did the manset mash

I'll get my coat!

I'm intrigued - which of these songs reverberated around the Mad Stad the loudest?

Mathieu (Raging Bull) Manset.

You know who the boy reminds me of? The boy reminds me a young Robin Friday that's who.

someone should shout 'bring out the beast' and then everyone starts shouting 'beast' like the begining of this song, could work when hes coming on as a sub

Hi Minty. I'm glad you agree, I swear half those who buzz on about Robin Friday have only read about him.
They haven't seen him, and I guess you'll remember he wasn't always great, he was sometimes bloody frustrating especially when he was hassling opposition players. He was too honest to deal with the "sledging" profssionally.

He wouldn't get away with that now there would be a camera somewhere picking it up. He would spend a lot of time at FA hearings.

But there is no doubt when he was good he was very very good, and I see glimmers of that in Manset.

Cheers.
