Those numbers make you think we should probably have taken the cup more seriously in previous seasons.

I love the fact that McDermott treats the Cup properly and even more so that we've been rewarded for that with some long overdue cup success. It's amazing what a couple of results can do!

hang on. the accounts and statements quite clearly state we were looking at a 4 million shortfall. we got 7 million in, leaving 3 million left. weve spent a bit in wages, and a bit in loan fees, and abit on player transfers, plus a little on plane flights and hotels for away games. that probably leaves us a million and a half
the wages have reduced markedly this year, so id imagine the shortfall next year will be much less than 4 million. lets say its 1 million.
1 million of whats left from sigs money goes on that, leaving us with 0.5 million, plus whatever we make in the cup(looking like 1.5 million?so far-more if we beat villa/man citeh) which = 2 million . which we can spend on ledge.

simple innit

Royal Lady We got around £1 million for the cup run last year - will a possible further 2 games really generate 3 or 4 times that? :|

I believe it is much more than that, by my calculations we got...

350,000 from prize money,
300,000 for both liverpool games been on tv
67,000 for the burnley game been on internet tv
250,000 for the villa game been on tv
(possible a west brom game on tv (i cant remember..)
+
40% of the revenue from 6 games including 2 sell outs at the mad stad + a trip to anfield. - in total 122,000 were in attendance for the games say the average price paid was 15 pounds that toatal 1.8mil = 700,000 for reading

So that is best part of 1mil + 40% gate revenue (somewhere between 500,000 - 1 mil)

This year
Prize money is around 350,000
TV money is around 125,000 for the game last night (+250000 for the game in the next round)
Total attendance so far is around 50,000 (X15 / 0.4) = 300,000

So far around 650,000 but expect that to rise over 1 mil in the next round

the decision not to really go for the cups?

id say it was very helpful in getting us promoted and staying up. which made us money.

Yeah it was way more than £1m last year due to numberous tv games, replays etc. Its just worth noting that the financial reward of a semi final is significant to a loss making club

Well, I'm happy to be corrected, but I could have sworn that somewhere it said we made £1 million for last year's cup run. :|

Royal Lady Shortfall will be more than that Bendy, remember ST renewals will be down.

then the fickle idiotic fans will get exactly what they deserve.unfortunately the loyal hardcore will get it too.

plus i have no idea about the shortfall next year- i have no idea how much wages were to do with the shortfall this year, nor by how much theyve been reduced for next year.

but id also expect that a great cup run and a wembley appearance and play off voctory could help sort those renewals out

Royal Lady Well, I'm happy to be corrected, but I could have sworn that somewhere it said we made £1 million for last year's cup run. :|

money taken in, does not = profit made?

maybe once you factor in the plane flights hotel rooms, and player bonuses we ended up with about a mill.
one things for sure- we'll be able to tell when the accounts come out.

I think it's closer to it in a cup run. It's money you wouldn't have expected to make.

But if we're running a deficit, then it simply goes into not running a deficit, k thnx.

This is the pocket in which he has put ZERO money from the club into?

Change the record, please?

Ferris
Whore Jackie
PieEater I think part of the reason Legs does well here is that he is good mates with McAnuff.

I think McAnuff is mates with just about everyone. Have we ever had a player, so popular with other pros, amongst our ranks?

I fcuking love McAnuff *massive homo*

Think he's our best and most important player. Fricking love him also.
