Svlad Cjelli
Ian Royal
Z175 Ideally myself.

In a quirk of fate I'm scouted over the coming weeks and invited to a trial at hogwood the day before Derby. As soon as I turn up theres a commotion, and it turns out the team all have 'flu and we can only put out 10 men. Brian phones around but the football league will allow no more loans so we're set to start with 10 men. As he comes out of his office I arrive at hogwood ...

Did your plan include the foresight of having registered yourself as a player with the FL before the fourth Thursday in March?

Would you believe me if I said I'd already done it?

This season is about the squad, not individuals. They'll all be heroes if they pull this off together.

Mcdermott will be the hero. Working with a tight arsed board but still pulls off promotion..... MASTERMIND

brendywendy a towering tabb header

or cummings taking the ball the length of the pitch , around the whole derby team, before stroking it calmly into the net

kebe to slide in at the far post like gazza in the world cup, but, because of his extra lanky legs, actually connect with the ball and score

Euro 96*

I'd say Noel Hunt, just so that I could read him write about it all Summer on his Twitter to pass the time between seasons

facaldaqui We need one goal to do it, and in the final minute Bryn Gunnarsson scores a Figueroa from the half way line in his last appearance for the club.

Rather an overhead kick from that distance.

Ian Harte free kick in the last minute of extra time at Wembley against Norwich having been booed all match, again.

Runs the length of the pitch to the Norwich fans and lights a big fat cigar before throwing the lighter into the crowd.

Got to be Bryn coming on up front in the 88th minute for an injured Church.

However still a little controversy as Church claims the final touch.

Andre Bikey scoring last minute winner for Burnley whilst we stroll to our customary win against Derby.

You're all wrong.

If we have to go up via the play-offs our hero will be Taraabt.

0-0 after 90 minutes, and looking like 0-0 after 120 minutes
when Taraabt, so disgusted with his team-mates shooting blanks
deliberately scores against his own side.

I cannot begin to fathom a Bryn winner in the playoff final from the bench

The real heroes are the fans - those of you who've been to every game in this most mediocre of mid-table seasons.

Bryn to score the winning goal in the 7th minute of injury time.

Bandini Bryn coming off the bench in extra time at Wemberlee. Header from corner in injury time.

God, f*ck yeah. I would sully my pants I think. He's the most worthy of the current squad I'd say.

Failing that, I'll go with Kebe or McAnuff. Could hardly begrudge Long the winner though, he's why we're in with a shout.

Brian Howard for me. Despite loads of criticism, being in and out of the team, he has just got on with it, without moaning and he also didn't take his chance to move to another club.

Ferris Manset bicycle kick in the 90th minute at wembley. He lands on his neck and is unable to move.

Brian rushes from the dugout to cradles him in his arms.

Mathieu slowly opens his eyes, and looks at Brian, "Manset done good?"

Brian, fighting back the tears, "Yeah. Manset done good. Real good... Farewell sweet beast" Brian closes Manset's eyes and kisses him on the forehead.

As he's stretcherd off the pitch, Wembley is filled with an eerie silence. But as the stretcher reaches the sideline, he slowly raises his arm and gives the thumbs up. The crowd goes mental, the final whistle blows, Reading are promoted and the beast dies on the way to hospital.

That's the dream anyway.
