Luton got docked 10 points for using an unauthorised agent. One of the 7 charges against Rangers. So, I'd like them to be fined a few million and docked 10 points from NEXT seasons total. By far they've played the best football in the Championship this season and deserve to go up as champions.

And if they'd not been so underhand, and LIED, even after having their irregularities pointed out to them, maybe they would - but they tried to cheat "the system" and "the system" should come down on them so hard that no-one will ever dare try it again. IMO.

Disagree strongly.

Norwich have played the best football by a street IMO.

QPR got a flyer at the league, as did Cardiff, but since then have been ordinary. Top 6 ordinary but not GREAT

This is the League Table since November 1st

1 31 16 12 03 61-38 +23 60 1.94 PPG Norwich City
2 31 16 10 05 44-25 +19 58 1.87 PPG Queens Park Rangers
11 31 13 08 10 47-41 +6 47 1.52 PPG Cardiff City

Note that Cardiff's overall form since Nov 1st is not good enough to make the POs.
They are there virtue of their great start.

Why are they holding the hearing now? Seems a bit bizarre if they wanted to affect this seasons outcome.

I can't believe they'll hit them with a points deduction for this season. If anything, (as someone else mentioned) it will be next season (10 points probably). QPR are bound to appeal, so if they docked points this season it would delay the play-offs, and that surely isn't going to be allowed to happen. (That's assuming they're found guilty of course....).

According to the BBC:-
If a points deduction is indeed deemed necessary, then Neil Warnock's side could drop into the play-off places. The club would be expected to appeal if the FA rules against them.

BBC Sport understands the Football League has held initial talks with clubs likely to be in the play-offs, regarding potentially switching the dates of the semi-finals if QPR are docked points.

Personally, if the charges are all proven I'd want them relegated to Division 3 but probably re-instated in Division 2 on appeal - and yes I think at least one of the offences is that serious.

With the way our luck goes, they'll be deducted 15 points and we'll end up playing them in the play offs after their appeal fails - now compare their form to ours without Leigertwood.....

Love the comment on the BBC Blog

"Before the actual verdict's released, someone should ring Warnock pretending to be "the FA" & tell him £30m fine & 27 points deduction, just to hear his reaction...." :D

There is no need for any points deduction.

Just a conclusion to the case that QPR will not be promoted this year.

You know the league is won over 46 games and not from some arbitrary point in time that you decide, right?

QPR clearly the best team in the league and they lost Jamie Mackie to a broken leg at the beginning of January. I suspect they'd be even further ahead if they still had him.

Interesting, but who would go up and who would the playoffs be between?

Norwich, Cardiff and the playoffs between 4th and 7th place?

Hence the warning from the FA that the play offs maybe delayed, they probably already know the plan b but have to wait to announce it.

What about from the start of the season?
By the way, the League usually starts mid-August.

They will be forced to play in a hideously over priced and unbalanced league that they have absolutely no chance of winning, they won't even have a chance of finishing in the top 6! It will be a harsh punishment.

On the subject of an appeal - who do QPR appeal to? The same panel of people who set the decision in the first place? :|

I don't see why any points deduction should take effect next season. Its teams in the Championship that have been affected by Faurlin playing for QPR against them. Besides why would the FA be warning the play-off contenders about any delay to the play-offs.

The warning is sensible 'just in case' it's needed.
