I don't think "overall" form is the way to judge, nor do I think
the most recent six games are meaningful (in this case)

but here is the last six game form

1 6 5 0 1 2 0 17 7 +10 15 2.50 ppg Nottingham Forest
2 6 4 2 0 1 0 15 8 +7 14 2.33 ppg Norwich City
3 6 4 1 1 2 0 14 7 +7 13 2.17 ppg Middlesbrough
4 6 3 2 1 3 1 12 4 +8 11 1.83 ppg Swansea City
5 6 3 2 1 0 1 11 7 +4 11 1.83 ppg Burnley
6 6 3 2 1 3 2 9 5 +4 11 1.83 ppg Reading
7 6 3 2 1 3 1 9 6 +3 11 1.83 ppg Cardiff City

It's worth noting that recently we beat Forest, Burnley and Middlesbrough, if not in this six games, probably the last 8/9

When Forest went second with two games in hand, I thought they were a shoe-in for automatic
but then they imploded. The fact that they came back says good things for them.

I don't think their form is fantastic, however. Scunthorpe are poor

A 3-0 Crystal Palace
H 5-1 Scunthorpe
A 3-2 Bristol
H 3-2 Leicester (we were 3-1)
A 1-2 Norwich (same as us)
H 2-0 Burnley (Burnley down to ten men)
H 3-4 Reading
A 1-4 Leeds (we managed 0-0 with 11 men)

P8 W5 L3 21-15
A 2-3 Swansea
H 0-0 Doncaster

Having read the link to the CCFC board - they seem to think Bothroyd was a waste of space yesterday and they don't rate Dave Jones much! Great to read actually - fans will be on their teams back right from kick off!

Bookies seem to be backing Swansea.

Mark Bright has 'a hunch for Reading' according to Mark Bright when asked who he thought would win the play-offs during whatever game he was co-commentating on yesterday.

Or maybe he said he has 'a lunch in Reading'. I was wasn't listening that intently.

News from Twitter - Robbie Savage is backing Reading and has a wager with Lee Westwood, who is obviously a big Forest fan. If Forest win the playoffs, Savage has to caddy for Westwood. If Reading win, Westwood for Savage.

Probably all just Twitter posturing but amusing nonetheless.

I see Forest played a lot of their game against ten men yesterday. That's twice in 5 games, lucky lads.

And don't take too much notice of Swansea's result. Sheffield put out 5 youth team players, an 18 year old keeper, and were down to ten men at 1-0.

Who cares? You want to sort outr the infighting in your team first before worrying about what odds you are to win!

What infighting? Seriously?

Our fans can't help themselves (Jones in, Jones out, Bothroyd this, McPhail that etc etc etc) , but apart from a monumental oxf*rd up against Boro last Monday we've been pretty good since the middle of March.

PEARCEY
sandman Is there a football fan in the country who are complimentary about Cardiff? They don't exactly make it easy to like them.

They have certainly had their share of thugs in the past although they have improved in this respect. I just think some of the comments about the Welsh being vermin is unnecessary. I won't ask for threads to be locked...freedom of expression and all that but it goes too far in my view.

agreed-
there is no acceptable racism people.
not even against gingers

Pearcy is right here, things are much much better than they used to be. We even won "family club of the year" 2011. Which given how things were in the 80s and 90s is a massive step forward. Anyone who came to the game at CCS earlier this season will have seen how much less intimidating it was than at Ninian Park.

Plus the massive increase in our crowds has diluted the lunatic fringe.

Compare our support on Friday to the hordes at Elm Park in 1998...

I thought some of the players had turned on the ones who had been out drinking when they shouldn't have been?

Not as far as I know. The drinking thing has been much exaggerated IMHO, I doubt it would have got any air time at all if it wasn't for the result against Boro and subsequent post mortem.
