Svlad Cjelli Brett Williams will be the new Kevin Doyle. Dirt cheap but setting the world alight.

(or maybe the new Dave Mooney!)

Didn't we actually pay a few quid for Mooney? £250k was it?

Blimey Svlad, I do believe you're the first person who's endorsed what I've been saying, in and out of the pub, for the last few weeks.

I really do have a feeling in my water about this lad. Not seen much of him yet and I reckon MaccyD's purposely kept him to one side. He'll have sent him away over the summer with a strict diet and fitness regime to follow, and told him to be ready for action next season. I strongly believe we have an uncut diamond in our ranks.

Hope you are right, since signing him I can't even recall him playing many reserve games

I wouldn't mind seeing Sam Baldock from MK Dons.

Very quick with a good instinct inside the box. The fans at MK Dons rave about him. Tipped for a big future and only 22.

If we bring in someone like Harewood with experience, on a free, I'd be more than happy to see us spend a few quid on this guy.

Please no. The bloke just never fills me with any kind of confidence. To the point that when he used to turn out for the Green Street brigade I always felt we had a head start.

Hence the 'someone like'.

I believe we need a target man. Long was playing this role as well as many others.

I've already sold Long on Fifa and have replaced him with Nuno Gomes and Freddie Eastwood. Tom Soares from Stoke has come in for Kebe as i've hedged my bets on him leaving too.

In real life I think Billy Sharp from Donny or Conor Wickham

I would not be surprised to see us go for Craig Davies. He is out of contract and championship clubs have been showing an interest in him. Nice and cheap.

He has scored 25 goals for Chesterfield this season but there is always the danger that he is a one year wonder.

Luckily Harewood has joined Mad Dog at Notts County.

Lol, sharp we can't afford and aren't big and even more so with Wickham along with the fact moving to us would be sideways!

Seriously?! Green font on this background?!?!

And just     at pretty much all those players! Bathchair will go to Everton or someone like that, whilst the rest are past it and/or stupidly expensive options (with the possible exception of Burke). Imagine Koumas, Kuqi and Pires here next year?!?!??!

As per ^^^^ posts the replacement for Mr S Long is one Mr S Church

Behave sunshine

You are either;

1 - Drunk
2 - On drugs
3 - Both 1 & 2
4 - Oblivious to the fact we didn't get promoted.
5 - Living in a fantasy world
6 - 5 years old.

The vast majoprity of those players will be playing in th Premiership next year, and some are just crazy suggestions. To think you could possibly see the likes of Carew, Reo-Coker among others even contemplating signing for us is nothing short of delusional.

Knowing Mick McCarthy and his ambition to have a Republic of Ireland club team, I still wouldnt be surprised to see him move for Shane Long which could end up with Ebanks Bake and cash adjustment of c£3m coming our way .......With Doyle and Shunt already there and Foley a friend of his from the national team, who knows ..or better still and subject to him being fit again ......Kightly, Ebanks Blake and £2m for Long ......that wouls solve the Kebe situ as well

Kieran Kenneally, Cork City
Jamie Murphy, Cork City
Davin O’Neill, Cork City
Graham Cummins, Cork City

It's worth risking a Mooney for a chance of a Long/Doyle..... er that sentence doesn't sound right.

Wouldn't solve John Madejski's fictional budget problems though.... only £2m cash and the wage bill will increase.

His grapefeeder was saying in the local rag today that finances for transfers etc could be on the up - given FA cup run and the play offs...never say never....i guess it depends who we ship out on the wages front

Does anyone know what the PO Final is worth to RFC?

We have a few "extras" this year

PO Final 85,000 * 60? = 5,100,000 less Wembley's costs and FA cut. Is that two million to the club?
2 x PO Semis
Man City Away
Everton Away

The sad loss of Chris Armstrong releases a wage, Mooney releases a wage (or 50%, say).

If Shane goes, that should be 3.5 Million at worst and (theoretically) up to twice that, and his (higher) wages gone

I heard somewhere (on here?) that it is customary for the winning side in the playoff final to waive their half of the attendance money, which goes to the losers. Is this true, or have I made it up?
