I didn't even notice Madejski was there. Got to my seat just in time for the teams coming out though which is probably the reason.

Royal Lady I agree with "Here for the KEBE". We knew Long would be off at some point this window - but it seems it was decided long before any bids were made that we wouldn't be replacing him with a comparable striker. I didn't think Madejski got that big a cheer - though, as we know, the sound is not good around the Madejski. I suspect he took his chance as it was the first game of a new season - I don't expect to see him come out at every home game, that's for sure. He disappeared when people got the hump about not spending the Sig money - the same will happen again, now that McD has more or less admitted he won't be getting any extra funds from the sale of Long.

We will never sell a player to replace a player until he has gone. We have a very tight budget as we all know and if we signed A.N.Other and been left with Long on the wage bill too that will more than likely broken that budget.

McD has not said he will not get any money but that we won't replace Long like for like, ie we won't get a player that will have the same impact as Long simply because those sort of players (ie signing Long now) is beyond us, and virtually all Championship clubs prob bar Leicester (and maybe West Ham). We will sign at least one more player this window (post Long's sale) of that I'm pretty confident.

Meh, protesting is so passé. I for one have stocked up with Molotov cocktails, bricks, and a very snazzy Hulkamania bandanna. When Shane Long gets sold, I'm starting me a riot!
