Williams to Sheff U

by Wycombe Royal » 12 Sep 2011 15:36

According to Sky, Marcus Williams is going out on loan to Sheffield United....

Yes I know, UR&G but I thought we could do with some cheering up.

sheff utd are doing well and so he should have less to do and find it easier to settle down and find some confidence. hopefully will lead to a free transfer in january. get him off the books asap if he's ran out of lives here.

Blimey, their present incumbent doesn't hang about does he, it's only the beginning of September...

......Manager Danny Wilson turned to Williams after left-back Lecsinel Jean-Francois was banned for picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

Also failed to show anything in pre-season. He's gash at this level. L1 might suit him though, especially in a side playing well and not defending for their lives.

I wonder whether this had anything to do with homesickness - strange that a guy who played regularly for scunthrope (ok not the best of teams but played a lot in the championship) should bomb so spectacularly.

Sheff und is of course much closer to home.

Confirmed. Month long loan.
Royals left back Marcus Williams has signed a month-long loan deal with Sheffield United.

Never got to see the guy play as far as I remember. He's nowhere near the team so probably a move to the rightish level.

He wasn't as bad as the general consensus seems to think. We gave Cummings another chance...

He must be better than Ian Harte?
