Alan Partridge
Tony Le Mesmer Going to the old Den (as a Neutral) and still be absolutely terrified.

Was anyone at the game in the 80s where the home fans took over the PA announcers room, locked themselves in and proceeded to commentate on the game?

LOL that's genius.

Was that the 0-0?

I remember after the 0-2 game (Sidwell, Kitson pen) squeezing on to the first train out of South Bermondsy full of gobby Millwall fans. I was sat next to window and saw on looking out that, on the platform was Sharpy in a Reading top looking straight at me, I remember thinking "please don't do anything indicate that you know me" and, happily, he didn't.

Stuka Good post, whenever I mention I'm off to Millwall away people always look at me like I'm mad or something, mainly I suppose as they support other London clubs. Having been a few times I consider it one of the better away days and a good craic. London Bridge is a good place to drink and hangout pre-match too.

^This and distant memories of Harp lager served in the away end.

Came out of the stands went to the car, still there with wheels, miracle, driving past the ground as the players came out to board their coach,so stopped behind the team bus, called Archie to have a word and he came over, we had a chat then the old bill came to the drivers door and said ,
" o.k. when we go stay tight to the coach ignore the lights the roads will all be closed off so
you won't have to slow for anything" he then goes and gets on his bike and the team coach ,
one fans coach and our car had a police escort at high speed until we crossed the river, quite an
experiance. Thats Millwall !!!

Dare to Dr£am
floyd__streete Reading singing FEED THE MILLWALL, LET THEM KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME walking back to South Bermondsey station after a comfortable win in the Champ season.

 Brilliant!

That's pretty good but my personal favourite is the one to the tune of pink floyd - the wall:

"All in all you're just a bunch of pricks from millwall"

That was the 3-3 that effectively relegated us. We were 3-0 up against 10 men or something.

Went to the old Den 3 times, never any trouble but was dead careful. We won once in a game that kicked off at some ridiculous time on a Sunday morning if memory serves.

Miss the chicken tikka masala and chips they used to serve in the concourse.

Best memory is when we had to wait in the away walkway while the Millwall fans got on the train after the game and FLTLR absolutely loving the bant from a safe distance.

Very good also. Out of curiosity what did you substitute instead of the "education" and "thought control" from that song?

I remember that game Gary Heale scored the winner. I was in the seats when we scored an old fat bloke clearly the worst for wear got up and started an airoplane celebration along the empty seats. He tripped and fell over so pissed he didn't get up for another ten minutes. Some things you just never forget. The Sunday thing was an attempt to get more fans to come, we played on a Sunday there two seasons in a row.
