sheppard and williams(recall him from loan)

two super young players who shamefully have not been given a chance just because they came from non-league and Ireland

young and dynamic players, a run of games will give them confidence

on top of all that opposition managers won't have a clue about them, their strengths and weaknesses and how to combat them

mcd would really be pulling a rabbit out of the hat with the bold choice recommended above but they'd deliver a bamboozling effect on opposition centre-halves as much as our own supporters

I'd go for Pog and Alf.

But did McD try Pog and Roberts together at all during pre-season??

Lets face it, they're the only 2 strikers we've got with prem experience. Ok, they're quite similar in terms of style and phsique, but I can bet you there will be a number of central defenders who won't like it up 'em. Might be worth a punt.

Home games, I'd rather see Pog and Hunt. We're not going to "out skill" alot of our opposition this season, so i'd rather see a full on workhorse up front. Beefy Hunt to out-muscle and upset a defense until he gets a yellow, then swap him for Alfie.

Away games, if we drop to 1 up front, i'd rather see Roberts on the field. For me he has the best football brain, and is most likely to be able to hold up the ball and wait for support. Long back in January if the 1 up front thing isn't working.

I think it's Pog and ALF and as they scored last Saturday, I think they be more likely to start.
