Which current RFC players can change our season?

by bracksroyal10 » 26 Sep 2012 10:15

So far no one has really stood out head and shoulders above everyone else every game of the season. So far we have seen glimpses of Pog's quality with his header against Chelsea but if we are to stay up in the PL we can't rely upon one player all season.

Who do you think could have a big impact for us once they start to get in their stride and are there any players who have yet to get their chance in the PL that you reckon could get us going?

Brian McD. It's his job after all.

Presumably by leaving for an improbably large fee which we then spend on somebody at least twice as good.

There is no one available who is (only) twice as good as Simon Church...

I would have said no one but then I saw there video of Jimmy that was posted. It would be nice to see us post the other team backwards for a change.

The return of Jimmy Kebe & Jason Roberts will help.

Perhaps Jem Karacan who seems to be sacrificed in a 2 man midfield for Danny Guthrie. Much as I rate Danny Guthrie, While we're shipping goals I would prefer to see us go back to Jem Karacan and Mikele Leigerwood in the middle. Obviously not against Newcastle as players scoring against their former clubs does seem to happen quite often.

Adam Federici with a point to prove maybe?

We're also not creating enough chances, or keeping the ball enough. Guthrie is a class above Karacan in those respects, and only slightly worse defensively.

Think of all the times players haven't scored against their old club...

Morrison. He has just come on as centre half and we've taken the lead against QPR :-)

I like the question.

Pogrebnyak
Kebe
Roberts
Le Fondre
Shorey (if he keeps hitting quality free kicks like tonight's)
Pearce/Gorkss (from corners/free kicks)
Guthrie (if he really get's going)

Basically, most of the team.

Isn't it amazing how soon we can feel that we have the nucleus of a very strong team, and still not mention people like Karacan, Leige,...or any of the Goalkeepers, who have shown they do have the ability, in the past.... 8) We are on the way.

+1
I'm confident this is a good squad, once that bit of sharpness and bits of clicking start in the team the Spurs performance will easily be forgotten.
