Though Tabb, Hunt, Mariappa, Cummings and McCarthy played well last night. Decent atmosphere and turn out considering.

ManchesterRoyals How did McCarthy Play?

Played well. Could do nothing about either goal and pulled off some very solid saves.

Excellent evening's entertainment all in all. Not sure how many Royals there were on the top tier but lower tier seemed pretty full. Most of the stand was all standing except it appeared for a grumpy group right behind the goal. Decent atmosphere and always good to wind up the QPR mongtards.

great result but what is it with us and penalties I think including last season we've failed to score from at least 7 penalty kicks.

royalexile Not bad at all. A strange atmosphere tonight but a pretty cute Pog goal sealed it for us. For a change it's great to go to Loftus Road for a win with no fighting between the away supporters. The woman stood next to me could put any builders navvy to shame with her industrial language.

LOL - I can remember when we last played at Arsenal there was this young girl in the disabled section there as a helper who was so foul mouthed a police men threatened to throw her out ...

Have to say I really enjoyed that... After West Brom, which was a good day out, but a bit depressing as a football game, that was really fun. Coming back from behind twice suggests we've still got the fight, as you'd hope. A lot of good goals in the game as well, which doesn't tend to happen with us much. Jimmy looked quick and hungry, so that's pretty exciting. Think that him and Jobi on the wings will give teams something to think about. Shorey looks more solid than Harte, and obviously his set pieces were great last night, so that's also good.
Pog was much more in the game than on Saturday - his control was generally very good, and seemed to be able to find passes more often. I do wonder whether ALF is just quite hard to partner with, even if he is possibly our best finisher.
Not sure Jay Tabb can quite compete at the top level, but he's never going to admit that himself. Wasn't sure about Mariappa personally - wonder whether the lack of game time was responsible for this. Also thought we played very narrow in defence which meant their wingers could find loads of space. Not sure if that was a tactic, but it made me a bit uneasy...

Thought our defence was very solid on the whole last night and also very composed when in possesion of the ball. Normally it would just be gifted back to the opposition centre mids for the next wave of attacks but that wasn't the case last night.

With Tabb I thought he had an excellent game. Hes never going to be the most technically gifted player for us but he worked very hard and always does give 100% for us I think he should feature more than he currently is.

and on another subject ....... Adam Le Fondra? did anyone see it when they were reading the team line ups

The cunning came from singing it at full time so that everyone around (those cool people) inadvertently started clapping along with it.
