Back from the game - Liverpool

I just finished re-watching the first half of the game it wasn't as bad as when I watched it live but it wasn't great, here's my ratings for the first half of the game i'm just dl the 2cnd half now.

McCarthy 6 - Did ok and could do nothing about the goal
Cummings 6 - solid on the whole - maybe could of stopped the goal
Mariappa/Gorkks 6 - ball watching too much and when suarez, sterling dropped off one of them should step out into the midfield because a lot the time the midfield was overun.
Shorey 6 - been solid generally but dead balls need to be better
Kebe 3 - Anonymous apart from a couple good tackles in defense not doing what he should be doing offensively
Karacan - 7 - before he got injured one of the only midfielders actually doing something, a bit careless with the ball at times but he needs more options.
Legs - 7 solid the only other midfielder to turn up! yeah he's given the ball away a couple times but he's putting his foot in, knitting the play, trying to get forward he can't do it all by himself.
McAnuff - 2 - completely anonymous until jem went off, even then he has been below par, just like kebe not doing enough! not going past players not supporting pog quick enough.
Guthrie - 2 I'm yet to see his quality today i know its there but to me he's doing f**k all defensively and offensively we cant do anything if he keeps giving the ball away!
Pog - 6 Struggling to fight the whole liverpool defense I can't fault his effort but he needs help!
McCleary- 4 still waiting for him to turn up? we got the whole second half so fingers crossed!


Footballs a funny game the ratings might completely change after the 2cnd half i'm gona watch it now and post later on.

I just finished re-watching the second half of the game. Well much improved in the second half from us but still below par.

well here are my ratings



McCarthy 7 - Did ok and could do nothing about the goal overall made some good saves
Cummings 6 - solid on the whole - maybe could of stopped the goal, very good all round display
Mariappa/Gorkks 5 - ball watching too much and when suarez, sterling dropped off one of them should step out into the midfield because a lot the time the midfield was overun. too much hoofing when they could play it out needs to improve for next game
Shorey 6 - been solid generally but dead balls need to be better nothing else to add really?
Kebe 4 - Anonymous first half apart from a couple good tackles in defense not doing what he should be doing offensively passenger!!
Karacan - 7 - before he got injured one of the only midfielders actually doing something, a bit careless with the ball at times but he needs more options.
Legs - 7 solid the only other midfielder to turn up! yeah he's given the ball away a couple times but he's putting his foot in, knitting the play, trying to get forward he can't do it all by himself. One of a few players that can hold their head up and say they gave it everything he had shots, he defended well, passing was good, no 50 yard grass cutters like gerrard but he used the ball well enough. My one criticism is players ghosted past him too easily.
McAnuff - 4 - completely anonymous until jem went off, even then he has been below par, just like kebe not doing enough! not going past players not supporting pog quick enough. a lot better after the break but naive defensively needed to help ledge a lot more.
Guthrie - 3 I'm yet to see his quality today i know its there but to me he's doing f**k all defensively and offensively we cant do anything if he keeps giving the ball away! didnt battle enough his passing was poor, lucky if he starts the next game
Pog - 6 Struggling to fight the whole liverpool defense. I can't fault his effort but he needs help! should of been kept on in my opinion may have worked well with alfie, put in a shift.
McCleary- 4 should of scored!! touch let him down on a few occaisions didn't really trouble wisdom
Alfie - 4 didnt really have time to assert himself, lively tried to get involved when he could
Roberts - 4 came on tried to get involved like alfie i think it was too little too late though.

A mixed bag today but we were relatively toothless if we are gona get anything from any of these games we need kebe and mcanuff to actually start penetrating defensives I think it's time to give roberts a start or switch to a 4-4-2 formation. we have to realise that last season we rode our luck a lot and the the quality in the prem is 10x better and they will punish us for our naivety.
