Need to get Roberts in I think - we need someone in who can actually control and hold up the ball properly for once! Swap McAnuff for Guthrie as well, even if both have played poorly of late - Guthrie can actually pass a ball.

Tricky for the boss

Dropping Guthrie is almost writing him off. Can't see it happening unless there's an "injury" in time.

Hunt could be over his injury. If he's fit, he should play.

Why have you put Shorey at right back and Cummings at left back - same with the wingers? Your team is upside down/a mirror. Can't work out ...

____________________McCarthy____________________
Cummings____Pearce__________Gorkks_________Shorey
Kebe_______Guthrie___________Legs____________Jobi
____________ALF_____________Pog_________________

I can't wait to get Federici back in, he's a top 10 goalkeeper but had a stinking start to the season. Cummings has been far better than Gunter, Shorey far better than Harte so full backs is easy. Gorkss, the best player of the season last season has ben eclipsed by Pearce and is a game away from being usurped by Mariappa. Kebe is a matchwinner, but when he tires bring on McCleary (a bit of a supersub). Guthrie HAS to play as the best passer of the ball in the team; 4-4-2 is not his best formation but needs must. Legs keeps his place as the best ball winner/ball retainer in the side. ALF edges Hunt as we need a win, and he has a knack for scoring key goals - Hunt/Roberts could both get on the pitch though...

Hunt should play if fit. I think that he and Karacan (although injured) are both critical to our style of play. Also, although I would like to see Roberts back in the team, the Pog has to play against his old club. My team would be as follows:

McCarthy
Cummings Gorkss Mariappa Shorey
Kebe Guthrie Leigertwood McAnuff
Pog Hunt

Subs: Feds, Roberts, Alf, McCleary, HRK, Pearce, Tabb

McCarthy
Cummings, Mariappa, Pearce, Shorey
McCleary, Guthrie, McAnuff (C), Kebe
Roberts, Pogrebnyak

At 60 minutes, replace Roberts with LeFondre & McAnuff with Leigertwood
At about the 80 minute mark, replace Kebe with Robson-Kanu

Win confirmed, job done

Anyone feel we should sell Federici in Janurary should we get a decent offer? If Anton gives us an extra £15million or so and we sell Feds for £7million, we have a warchest in Janurary should we still be in with a shout. We would have to come across as a club building for next season however if we do that to any new recruits.

My signings would be Jordan Ayew and a new central midfielder

Just a couple of thoughts

Federici for £7m. NO

Guthrie and McAnuff provides NO defence qualities!

Anton will NOT give us £15M to spend in January.

As a for a CM I would have Romeu on loan from Chelsea

TBF, an attacking mentality could be best for this game. Put Fulham under serious pressure early on.

Back to 4-4-2 tomorrow.

As much as I like and want Le Fondre out there, we're struggling and need someone physical like Jason Roberts up front. Pog, for the goals he has scored, is still to impress me. He must have lead weights in his boots. How can someone with such a big frame not be able to jump or win the ball in the air? I'd suggest dropping him, but in front of goal he's worth having for that alone (the likes of Hunt are far less prolific in front of goal), it's just a shame we lack any decent service into him.

Likely line-up:

====================== McCarthy ======================

Cummings ====== Mariappa ========= Gorkss ======= Shorey

Kebe ========= Guthrie ========= Leigertwood ==== McAnuff

================= Hunt ======== Pog ===================

I'd drop Kebe for McCleary, and Hunt for Roberts. I also don't think Leigertwood offers us anything in the middle. He looks slow and sluggish and is far too sloppy, but it highlights just how weak this squad is when we lose Karacan and can't find a better player than Leigertwood. I wouldn't turn to Tabb or Gunnarasson. Same story for a number of positions actually.

Obviously you didn't watch the last game? I'll admit that I don't think ledge has hit his form yet, but he started slow last season as well. I am confident he'll be a linchpin in our midfield, against liverpool he played very well and out of our team so far this year is has been a consistent performer (I checked the stats) but I would say that opposing players are ghosting past him too easily and his performance along with the other members of the team is still not good enough and needs to improve greatly if we are gona stay in this league.

Why would drop our top striker in favor of 2 strikers, neither of which have scored a goal from open play this season?

thats just about what i was thinking. there is no way that we will get 15m to spend in the janurary transfer window. also feds is not worth 7m.
