He didn't exactly look thrilled with the long ball goal despite the skill from his top (and by top I mean only) striker.

B Mc: If I want to select Alex, I'll select him - I told him that. He could be in the team in two week's time, you just don't know. We want to try and get his contract sotrted out. The club are trying to speak to his agent and vice versa. They have to find a ground that is acceptable to everybody. I'm hopeful that it will be sorted before January - it needs to be.

Nothing we didn't already know really.

Using the Snowball method, we have a 75% loss record in the league when Pearce has started this year, compared to just 14% when he hasn't.

Get rid in January I say.

If he is only 4th choice and there is such an abundance of quality and competition (haha) why is BMD even still talking about Pearce? The club have dedicated two questions to him. Methinks the lady doth protest too much!

Gorkss was at fault for the goal, plus there should have been a penalty and was sloppy all game

Pearce

Having not looked in to HobNob for a while earlier in the season, I was itching to ask .... but find this quote in Brian Keen's latest soccernet piece.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/blog/_/nam ... 31?cc=5739

.... the jury is still out on whether Pearce's demotion was really down to tactical reasons, or whether it is somehow related to his on-going "contract dispute" with the club.

It's down to his ongoing dispute contract dispute. 100%

If he moves does move on then I'll tell all.

Nah, I said that I wouldn't.

The players and the club read this forum so I'll not throw any spanners.
