I think Gorkss' confidence is shot to pieces or he has an injury

Predicting this one depends a fair bit on the team-selection.

With Gorkss only divine intervention will get us a lucky point, probably a heavy defeat

With Pearce, or Marriappa we can get something

I have masses of respect for Gorkss, but this season has been really difficult for him.

If McD plays him and we lose 3-0 I think it's the end (and relegation)

To be 4 points down on Villa with Man U and Arsenal to follow, Jeez!

Libertine We will score first again, in the first half, against the run of play from a set piece awarded from a dubiously given foul, and then Villa will score 3 in the second half to win 3-1 going away...while Villa, another struggling relegation candidate, has close to 70% of the ball and will look like Barca against us...with their supporters reacting with "Meh, not impressed. It was only Reading..." after the game.

I was going to write almost exactly this Libertine, although far less eloquently!

The only way we will get a result (draw) is if McDermott finds some balls to:
1) drop MacAnuff and Gorks
2) bring in McCleary and Mariappa from the start
3) not play the Pog at any point during the game

McD drops legsofwood, Gunter & Gorkss: draw 1-1
McD plays legsofwood, Gunter & Gorkss: lose 3-1

Unfortunately the latter is more likely to occur. Couple that with Southampton poleaxing Norwich and we're firmly in the relegation zone.

If it was up to me I'd swap Gunter for Cummings and Gorkss for hmmmm Mariappa. I don't think Brian will change all three, but I reckon he will change one, and might even suprise us and make two of those changes.

MmmMonsterMunch
ReadingJim I've been positive throughout the season, always 'expecting' a result for the Royals but I have to say that saturday was the straw that broke the camels' back: Unless we shake up our defence we're never going to survive. Our attack is actually pretty decent but that's meaningless if we just crumble defensively.

So my prediction, sadly, for the first time this season, is a Reading loss - 2-1 Villa.

And even sadder, I think it'll be hard for BmcD to hold his position for much longer if we do lose this. On the plus side, Di Matteo's probably gagging for the job - unless Southampton get there first...

Yeah because Di Matteo has got a load of free flowing ball players to choose from...... Would fit right in at RFC.

Anyways - I will say 2-1 Villa after Reading go 1 up & everyone goes apeshit on here.

worked perfectly under rogers didnt it?

in a relegation battle id rather have mcd anyway - but long term di matteo would be a good appointment but only if it goes pear shaped under mcd...keep the faith

If we are 1-0 up at half time we will lose 2-1

if its 0-0 or 1-1 then we will go on to win

The new tactic is don't be winning at half time!!

Barry Bannan to run around like a scotch Iniesta
Benteke to miss a sitter

Close game, but I think we can get a draw

Gorkss, Gunter and Legs plays we will lose 2-1 with going ahead in the first half.

McDermott drops all which he should do and would be bleeming mad to keep them in, win 1-0 with a Pearce header by a Guthrie delivery after Cummings getting foulded by nut megging a villa defender.
