REMTARDROYAL oxf*rd it. There are some utter idiots on this board.

Some of my favourite RFC memories have come with Brian at the helm. Liverpool away, halftime at Villa, listening to WBA in a deseted office as we went to ET and won, Everton away, West Ham away, even City away in a South African mansion, trying to explain who Alex McCarthy was. Leeds home and Southampton away as we mugged a second Championship away from more storied teams. Coming home from a curry to find Southampton had lost.

And what were people expecting? We're not that team, of Sidwell, Doyle and a fit Sonko. We are a team of workhorses, dogged triers and bargains. We will fight every inch this season, but the happy ending may not come until a few years time. The best rewards are those you struggle for, that you fight for, that you bloody well earn. It will come, and I will see my Reading play a cup final or go to some godforsaken Europe League preliminary game. One day. Maybe not this season, or next but you'd have to be retarded or teenaged not to see it in our future.

And our manager, with pretty much no experience, has shown that he can take a team to the quarter finals of the FA cup (twice! I've relatives who lived and died and supported who didn't see that once), to the play off final, to the top of the league. And we're bitching?

He knows Reading, he understands us, our history. He is Reading, as far as I'm concerned.

We might go down, frankly, I'd put money on it. But give arguably our second best manager EVER a break. He has, without a shadow of a oxf*rd doubt, earned it.

+1

What annoyed me more than the performance last night was the vitriol aimed at 'fcukin sh1t' players like Leigerwood (not to mention the manager) for not being good enough. They won the league last season against bigger clubs with bigger budgets and now they're paying the price of perhaps having overachieved.

They should play Mazzy Star or The Cocteau's during games to calm everyone down!

Yeah, he's done good things in the past! The present is a completely overrated period of time, anyway!

It's got to that stage where I and many others I'm sure, need some ideas for keeping calm.

Just think about next season - it's gonna be a good one. Let the others worry themselves sick about this one.

And remember.....

by Theroyalbox » 11 Dec 2012 21:28

Personally im looking at this as well as i can 16 games in still plenty of time to recover and we have the january transfer window, besides were always better in the second half of the season and all it will take is a few wins on the trott and i think we can do it! #InBrianWeTrust
