Seens as everyone is comparing, we might as well have a section for it.

Both aren't good enough for the Premier League, but Gunter was good for Nottm Forest and will do a better job than Cummings in the Championship.

Always feel like both don't cover the right hand side of the box well enough, and get caught out far too often against decent wingers. One of our weakest positions overall tbh

They're both oxf*rd, so Shaun Cummings just for his chant.

And that's still probably better reasoning than what McDermott uses.

Neither have proven yet (not sure how much of that is to do with who's playing next to them) but Gunter seems a bit more "deer in the headlights", I'm in for Cummings.

This should not even be up for debate. Gunter everytime. Played in both our clean sheets this season, and before the 7-4 against Arsenal is mentioned, you wouldnt say morrison is a bad player who also played in that game

They both seem to play with a nervy edge knowing that it had become our most vulnerable area for opposing teams to attack. Not easy to see which one could improve on their current form, don't/can't get forward enough either. An MoM performance would do the the world of good for either player. Cummings by a tiny margin for me.

Gunter has more about his game than chip it up and hope Cummings.

Stoke-Chelsea-Peterborough-Tottenham-West Brom: GUNTER
QPR-Newcastle-Swansea-Liverpool-Fulham: CUMMINGS
Arsenal-QPR-Norwich-Everton-Wigan: GUNTER
Aston Villa-Man United-Southampton-Sunderland-Arsenal: CUMMINGS
Man City-Swansea: GUNTER

All season they've taken it in turns to play 5 games at a time, which is mere coincidence or Brian is completely split between the two of them. Presumably Gunter will play vs West Ham, Tottenham and Crawley and Cummings will come back in for West Brom?

LoyalRoyal22 Played in both our clean sheets this season

But those were at home to two incredibly defensive sides.

If Michu had scored after Gunter had chested the ball to him, and believe you me there was nothing Gunter could do to stop him scoring at that point, then we wouldn't have kept a clean sheet.

You cannot reduce a sport to such a simplistic stat as "clean sheets".

Neither. Neither are remotely good enough at this level and a new right back should be a priority for January as we concede shed-loads of chances from that side.
