PieEater Church does tap ins and has a decent shot, but that's about it. No pace, can't jump, can't dribble or beat a man and was permanently caught offside.

Agree with that, couldn't beat a man, nor the goal apart from once which was like a yard out

Give him some slack he had a chance on the 6 yard line yesterday, straight at the keeper wasn`t it?

HuddersLad Really expected more from the lad. I wish him luck if you get's into your team

You should have read this forum first, then you wouldn't have been disappointed. He is absolutely useless. He got rave reviews from John Toshack when he first started playing for Wales, and has somehow built a reputation from there, that and us having a very productive youth academy. But the guy is never a striker. Perhaps playing in the hole would suit him better, but the sooner someone converts him to a different position and removes the pressure he's put under to score goals, the better.

If we get £250k in January it'll be good business. Someone like P'Boro might get the best out of him, but I feel League One is where he's destined.

In yesterday's paper it suggested that Milwall were keen to sign him-they will love him there with his all-action aggressive physical game (just like Henderson and Morrison before him).

One of the worst loan signing's I can remember us having (and we've had some tripe down the years). Cant pass, shoot, tackle, head... Are we sure he is really a footballer?? Give it a year or two and he'll be in league 1, even that might be too high a level for him

Now if we can get Morrison back... :D

Started almost half our games last season and we won the league. It's not our fault your whole team is a pile of wank.

Its a shame that so many of you have short memories to go with your little dicks. Big and brave to slag some one off anonymously, Harte, and then Church. Ok he may not be a premier league striker but a good championship one though. Put his heart into his every Reading performance. Can't forget his massive contribution with 2 goals in a 3-0 win December last year when we beat the team we love to beat the most. Give the boy a break!
Good luck Simon wherever you go.

I would happily make Church first choice if it meant we could re-sign Gylfi.

Obviously not going to happen.

Rumpole He was forced out of the club here because of issues in his personal life - I do hope that it's all resolved now as it would be good to have him back at his best.

:?: He was offered a new contract just so we could sell him for full value rather than lose him for nothing next summer. He stalled on the offer and was told the same as Pearce, sign or we sell. He will go in January. Pearce will too unless we decide we're better off keeping him until his contract expires.
