nice work. :D

"These accounts are for Reading FC Holdings, who no longer own the football club, and doesn't paint a complete picture of what's taken place. There is expenditure not included in these accounts that normally would be."

so these are only up to the point of sale? with TSI spending more of their own money in the mean time?

Interesting to see that SJM seems to have taken money out of the club for the first time last year, by reducing his loan from £26m to £15m. Unless he's somehow done that by converting it to equity rather than by taking out cash. If it is a cash withdrawal then he's done quite nicely getting £23m with another £12m to follow later this year, from earlier stuff also a £5m bonus for promotion and still owed £15m from loans.

Alright for some!

For the first time? He loaned the club money on a number of occasions, and until TSI took over, we thought it was interest free and it wasn't. He isn't a mug, he's a business man, and he's got a lot of his money back over the years.

all his loans were at a interest rate lower than inflation/bank rates werent they, so really he lost money......
since only ever took back less in interest than he could have got in a bank.

up till last year that was the only money hed taken from the club.
not only that, but a large ammount of the debts have just been converted to equity in the club. that he already owned.

Don't forget these are for the period where Shane Long was sold, so are effectively for the old "we need to sell players to fill the black hole" RFC. So add £6.5M (Shane Long) to the loss and deduct £300k (ALF) for a truer representation of these figures.

Anyone who's interested in the financial sustainability of the club they support.

Let's face it, no one knows the answers and it's all speculation. Move on.

Archie's penalty After reading the Pearce thread I was shocked to find Afeds on apparently 35k a week so I thought I'd get this going. What do we reckon the players are on?

From what I've heard/can guess

Pog 40k
Afed 35k
Guthrie 30k
Kebe 25k
Roberts 25k
Shorey 25k

The rest under 20k?

Don't forget the £900k or so for Gorkss. I'd also expect Leigertwood's permanent transfer fee to be in last season's accounts. Also I'd not have expected all that £6.5m to come at once but again don't know the exact ins and outs.

Whatever the case, it's still worrying to see even with the black hole 'filled' we still leaked a decent amount of money.
