AFAIK, it was the only Chronic that said "major"... No-one inside the club appears to have said anything other than "We're talking to a Premier League club", and as I understand it, that could just as easily be for some unknown academy player at Wigan as it is for Wayne Rooney.

"Major" in this instance most likely means "player you've probably heard of", not "earth shattering transfer that's going to single handedly keep us up" (although it might be).

Agreed. It's a position we've had trouble with this season. If Brian wants to improve there, then brilliant, we're now that bit stronger. Send Gunter or Cummings out on loan maybe.

Also, if we go down, this is looking like a much better squad than the one we went up with.
