I can see why Legs of wood is back because Carrico is so out of match practice its untrue... but keeping on Jobi instead of Karacan?

I really hope we don't find ourselves chasing the game with 30 minutes to go as we have no attacking options on the bench.

Royal91 Loving the new sponsor!

:D

decent side i reckon. Total long ball as Legs will almost be another center as we lump it up a a pacey, threatening front line. With Kebe, McCleary and McAnuff all supporting Pog, could just work. C'mon Reading!

Carrico isn't really match fit , and a portuguese player never used to temps below 15/16 degrees is gonna find it well tough with approx 0-1 c for his 2nd game in the Prem.
Leigerwood gives good head , there can be no other explaination
Jem did look a bit wayward last week , but he gets amongst 'em and would frustrate Toon more than Ledge, who will play some excellent passes to the Magpie's forwards.

Mcanuff is the best option we have in the middle atm, so if we are going to play a more passing style, which last weeks stats suggest we are, he should play there until we can buy someone who can actually player there.

Leigertwood has had a bit of a break now so should be fresh.

Lets just go at them.

I guess the only saving grace of playing Jobi CAM is that he does have the mobility to get into the box and drop into midfield!

blueroyals Not sure what you're all complaining about.

McAnuff has been shit down the wing this season, we've all wanted McCleary given a chance there.
You all moan that there isn't enough creativity down the middle, well now we've got McAnuff AND Guthrie.
You all complain that Carrico wasn't/isn't fit and McDermott drops him in place of our only other DM.

Extremely happy with that line-up.

Jem should count himself very unlucky to be benched but this side makes a lot of sense. Leigertwood is clearly rated as the man in front of the back four and if this is the day Jobi gets a chance to start in the centre. it's long overdue :|

Hi Jobi - try not to be shit today.

This will be our best performance of the season. I'm calling it.

Probably will to be fair, but then it's a pretty low benchmark.

edinburghroyal McAnuff should just leave... Just give the bloody armband to Pearce!

To be honest, right now, I would even prefer the return of Brian Howard!

You are a prize prat for making a statement like that... Bugger off to the Tynecastle Stadium and watch some 'quality' football if you don't like the managers squad choice.......

UMMM Alfie and Hunt ?? Though would like HRK there too (instead of Gunter) or is he injured ?

I can certainly see some logic to this set up..certainly more logical than picking Carrico last week

I can fully understand not playing Carrico on a day like today. Remember, Leigertwood wasn't actually awful in his last game.

juanpablo Karacan benched in favour of an (imo) out of form winger, ffs

just when I was starting to have more faith in Brian he does another gamble in a must win game (Caricco last week)

Really....?? On what basis is/was Brian Howard better than Jobi....? As you obviously watch Reading on a regular basis, what exactly is it about McAnuffs performances that you find so irksome....?
