Fans who made the Toon journey

by Gunny Fishcake » 19 Jan 2013 18:13

Respect and fair play to all of 1000 of you , a wonderful result which rewards you for making to long journey in the most testing conditions, hope you all have a safe journey home and to those staying over have a tremendous night .

I watched up the pub on dodgy Sky and all we could hear in the second half were the Reading fans singing , brilliant .

The Newcastle support was dire. The most interesting thing about scanning the ground was the falling flakes. Then it was the melting snow. As support we were ok but not on song.

We didn't sit down or stop singing the entire game, Expected a lot more noise from the Toon fans but they were very quiet.

Great effort.

I went when we first got to the epl, never again as you couldnt see the game from up there. i couldnt even tell if we had scored or not.

got a couple of short videos, excuse me for my absolutely shit upload speed, they could take hours to get online

few chants from the game I noted, feel free to chip in with some more

"We're winning away, We're winning away... How shit must you be, We're winning away!"

"We've got a big oxf*rd russian, big oxf*rd russian!"

"Woahhhh Adam Le Fondre!" - Went on for 3-4 minutes, died out a few minutes before his second, then again for 5 minutes.

"Is there a fire drill, Is there a fire drill?"

"You're having a laugh, You're having a laugh, Eight Years of Pardew, You're having a laugh!"

"Can you hear the Geordies sing? I can't hear a oxf*rd thing"

"Pardew, Give us a wave, Pardew Pardew give us a wave"

-He Waves-

"JUUUUUUUUUUDDDDASSSSSSSSSS"

Bill Oddie chant made an appearance about 3-4 times in the match too, aha.

He might have just put his hand up, but it did look like he waved at us, yes.
