In your heart, do you think we are already down...?

Does any part of you still cling to the tiniest hope that we won't be relegated?

Yep, we're f*cked so enjoy the ride back to the Championship

Dear God, you people are spineless twats. We are one point from safety and you're all throwing in the towel.

I honestly believe we've still got a fighting chance of staying up - that's not the same as believing we will stay up mind you. I think the current bottom 3 will be the ones to go.

I believe that we're nicely positioned to be able to stay up, with fixtures that would enable us to do that.

I also believe that we're capable of staying up.

Sadly, I don't think we will stay up because I don't think our mentality is right for that.

Totally agree. It's not over, 'til it's over. We can still make it. What if the TEAM give up, as easily as YOU ALL do? Call yourself 'Supporters'.......? HA!

'What if the TEAM give up'.... like they really did try Saturday, didn't they? They gave it their all, didn't they?

Same ol' cliche, 'Call yourself 'Supporters'', logical thinking there, just because some disagree

Royalee We're down unless we sack McDermott and bring in a manager capable of proper football.

But the players are not capable of playing "proper football". If they were, the evidence would be clear to see. What is alarming is the lack of any semblance of a plan or strategy to get us out of this mess. January came and went without the immediately required quality acquired to improve the squad. Anyone who thinks that an immediate return to the Prem is nailed on is dangerously deluded.

We've been down ever since Neil Webb was sold to Portsmuff.

The big problem in January was that we got some decent results so it suddenly looked like we could stay up ... but we know that those were a bit lucky. Still we did the same last year and went up despite being not as good as some other teams, so there's no reason why we can't do it again. But I'd not put money on us staying up ...

Rev Algenon Stickleback H I thought we were down after the Stoke game.

When a team gives their all and average opposition still look far better, it has relegation written all over it.

Than again pre-season (with the obvious exception of Wimbledon away) didn't exactly make you think we had a good team.

I think when it was 2-1 at Chelsea was about the only time when I didn't think we were going down.

Had the same feeling after Stoke game, reality check season. Practically all season we have been on the back foot. I have enjoyed this season though and there are more twists to come hopefully, but we aint been good enough. Just hoping we are a stronger side next season wherever we are. Personally it doesn't matter what division we play in Prem or champ, as long as we don't do a Wolves, Pomp and perhaps a QPR in the future.

I believe we should take heed of the wise words of the great philosophiser Mr Joe Hart:

Joe Hart Even if we're 12 points behind with one game to go we'll keep believing

If we go down, we go down, but I'll be especially gutted if it is finally confirmed on the last day at Upton Park.

Before christmas I thought we were doomed. But since then I have gained some hope.

This season even the bottom team has a chance of staying up, which means they might nick points, were if they were doomed, would not.

That Wigan performance has convinced me we're down now.

Anything resembling a performance like that and we have no chance in future games.

Yep - was optimistic upto Wigan, but such a capitulation made me realise that we are still sh@t despite the recent better results, masked by the still generally poor performances. Beat Everton today however, and being a fickle fan that I am, everything will be rosy again!
