Libertine First off Di Canio is not racist. He is a fascist. I am not a big fan of fascists...even if they get the trains to run on time and the most out of their football players.

I can see being opposed to bringing Di Canio in, which I am in agreement with (more being down to how he up and quit Swindon Town the way he did...I don't like quitters), but don't slander him by calling him a racist.

A number of Swindon players were prepared to testify as to his racist comments to a fellow player. Sure, he's not racist.

Di Canio would make me cringe it really would - a circus act far worse than Warnock which i would struggle to support. For me- Rosler,Poyet,Di Matteo or Adkins. Oh and please please not Alex Mcleish.

Yikes! Di Canio would represent the polar opposite managerial personality extreme. Surely something towards the middle ground would be more appropriate.

We'd go from Brian's bunch of young farmers to Paulo's hot-headed fuse blowers in one simple movement. Both Di Canio and Adkins (for different reasons) could be like pulling someone you're really into after a couple of dates only to discover they're on the rebound and still hurting, so after a brief but memorable fling we're back on the shelf with an unfinished product.

I'd be very surprised RL. If he is/was he wouldn't be long for the world of football. Everyone has a natural tendency to equate German fascism of WWII with Italian fascism. And don't get me wrong...being an Italian I know they can be as racist, if not more so, than any other peoples. I just don't get that vibe with Paolo...he seems to be an equal opportunity offender in terms of his offensiveness.

Even taking notes...

When was this though. This could be di Canio taking in the first game at the Madjeski

It was Saturday, I saw him arrive and eventually leave. Lots of discussion with the chap he was with, plenty of gesturing and shaking of his head......

If Di Canio is appointed that will end my interest in RFC for the duration of his tenure.
