Ian Royal True, but the popular accusation of loyalty to some players for no good reason is cretinous. There's clear reasons for why McDermott picks his teams and it's not just blind loyalty. The decisions may not all be correct, but anyone willing to actually consider it seriously who has half a brain can work through the logic.

Royalclapper
pretty much every player has been dropped or taken off at somepoint, this season has seen more squad rotation than any other i can remember.
youre wrong

Yes, of course they have. Does that mean they have all had a FAIR chance then?

i think so.
cant name a single player who doesnt play regularly who has really made the spot their own in the chances they have had.

I don't believe there's much of a problem between players in the dressing room, so on that basis, teams picked on blind footballing ability would make a refreshing change.

Interested what changes Dolan makes this weekend, I expect there to be a couple.

Hello all. I'm a new user of hobnob, But have been a devoted Royal for 20 years now.

Tough decision on who the new Manager should be, I'm very much against having Di Canio though. So many reasons not to want him, but the main reason being is he's ex Manager of one of Sw***on That's nearly as bad as being openly fascist!

I'm not going to dwell on BMcD being dismissed, he was a fantastic servant to us, But the decision has been made and we have to move on from it.

I think the next Reading manager will be Adkins. And I wouldn't mind that. Southampton played fantastic football during his tenure.

BUT I think the biggest problem at Reading FC is Nick Hammond. I'd love Reading to bring in a new director of Football. Steve Coppell DOF along with Adkins as Manager.

This is just my opinion- It doesn't mean I'm right :)

The Sun now saying Parky is top of our wish list!

Bradford say they have had no approach from Reading.

This is like another transfer window. Wildly speculating at top class managers only to end up with someone from the middle of league 1...probably.

Can't imagine AZ being too nostalgic regarding former players.

Hi TTC, nice post - welcome to the board
although I don't agree re Hammond, you've made an interesting suggestion[/quote]

Thanks Whiskey for the welcome. :)'

The reason I think Hammond should go is that he should have known the need to invest in quality premiership proven players in the summer- After all he was also DOF when we were relegated from the prem last time around. Bringing in League one players/Championship players just won't cut it nowadays.

The first team, just aren't good enough, I think with the exception of McCarthy, Alfie and Kebe we have no players of premiership quality- DOF has the say on which players are suitable. :/

What do you think? :)
