And our newest writer shares his disappointment over the treatment of Mikele Leigertwood yesterday.

Fantastic Pea,brilliant read,my first manager watching Reading and his style of football was good to watch.Alas,we were found out in 70/71 and were relegated.Top artical mate, well done to the guy who got it.

Perhaps Pea should study a bit of RFC history, then he might know who some of our best managers were.Life did not start in 1998 at the Madejski Stadium.

You mean like this article does? a lot of us weren't alive in the 70s....

....and I'm looking forward to this club making history rather than dwelling over what has been 141 years of mostly mediocrity. I appreciate that we have more history than most, since we are one of the oldest teams out there afterall, you have to admit it's fairly unremarkable - see the recent fanfare for the Simod Cup as an example (as fans of many other teams recently iterated - tinpot) .

Some food for thought there from Wimb. Surprised no real mention of tactics/movement etc.

I tried to get that across in the refusal to change and stubborness part, could probably have gone into a bit more tactical depth but when the piece was running at around 2,000 words I didn't want to totally swamp things.

Maybe an opportunity for someone else? If anyone fancies it!

Heh! each to their own Winch, I just thought he put in a solid shift and did his job which was to hassle and harry United's midfield. I thought he was woeful on the ball as usual but as far as Jem goes this was one of his better games.

Yeah it's not confirmed by the club and plenty could go wrong until the ink is dry. With that being said, here's our initial reaction to Adkins appointment.

A look at the potential Brighton might have with much reference to Reading and Gus Poyet's remoured decision to stay put from the Two Unfortunates. Warning: the Brighton fan's comments on us might cause a few seizures on here!
