The central midfield needs ripping up. Leigertwood and Karacan can go. Guthrie, if he sticks around, would be useful next season, as would Akpan. Add two more that can play the football Adkins wants.

Harte and Shorey are free and neither inspire me. But that said, do we then go and get two more? The budget will only stretch so far... Shorey one more year then.

The wingers here are decent. I'd consider cashing in on Kebe though, as he's on a massive wage and hardly plays. Get what we can for him and ship him out.

Up front is worrying. Hunt is no real loss, Church the same, Roberts wont get a new contract as could be out until the new year, and Pogrebnyak will be off this summer. That leaves Alf (if we can keep him) and Blackman. We need two strikers, and Samuel as fifth choice.

I think the last two matches and the next few will show Adkins just how poor several of our players are even for championship level, take note of this seasons performances and league position of Wolves and Blackburn as a warning,I think we will see massive changes as the players we have are simply not good enough,

Not been many more underrated players at the club. Obviously before your and the likes of GenericRoyalFan's time but a lot of people remember the likes of Nick Colgan, Peter Van Der Kwaak, Simon Sheppard and the season of endless keepers. You and others don't know how good you've got it.

I think that's a pretty excellent squad tbh, lots of Championship experience, plenty of hungry young players, cover for every position... except left back, where Gunter, Kelly, Partridge and Gorkss might be asked to cover.
Would love Guthrie, Pearce and Kebe to stay but feel it is unlikely any of them will. Would also be happy for Pog to stay and us not to sign any striker but that isn't going to happen.
