LightwaterRoyal
cpmurph Solid Championship LEFT back, especially in the 2011/12 season. The calm way he slotted that penalty 3rd goal at West Ham away last season summed that up.

It was always only going to be a couple of seasons given his age.

Haha soz, moment of carelessness

Divvy
St. Brynjar Hasn't been good enough for about 18 months.

Absolutely clueless!! He was a massive part of our success last season, especially in the final 5 months! He was always going to be out of his depth this season, just as the majority of the team were [under McDermott].

Nope, he was never great last year and has been the week link for ages. Doesn't strike me as that nice a guy either, I remember a game against Norwich (a 3-3 draw) when he rolled around like he'd been shot to get Holt sent off.

He wasn't great but he was consistent, which was what we needed in that promotion season. However the fact he falls short of 'great' was exposed in the prem.

that was the prem not the 2011/12 season. plus the stadium's haunted and the ghost pushed him over - didn't you know? :P

that moment summed up the season...

I disagree, I'd say he's only been the week link these past 7 days.

D'oh. If only I didn't have an English A level exam next week.

Top professional who played to his strengths and mitigated his weaknesses. If Shorey had stayed as focussed and professional as Harte, we wouldn't need to look for another LB.

Cheers Ian. Drop Shorey off at the pub on your way back up North.

El Diablo The sweetest left peg you're likely to see in the hoops - best moment - the 40 yard pin perfect pass to Shane Long running goal ward who tucked it away nicely - ( cant for the life of me remember who we were playing tho)

Dariusz Wdowczyk has the best left foot I have seen in the hoops. He oozed class.

Free kick at Forest in the 2010/11 season was the highlight for me

Thought he was brilliant in the Championship, but just started to lag toward the end of it (tbh, that Brighton game is actually where I noticed it most!)

Thank you for you're contribution Ian, my favourite moment from your RFC career would be one I saw live and I wont forget it. THAT game against Forest in 2010/11, where you opened the scoring with that curling free kick to send us wild. And after the dramatic winner and the final whistle you gave that signal to us away fans that we were going up. Shame it came a year later, which gave you one less year.

He was still a good player despite being well past his best at RFC. Wand of a left peg. Hope he returns to Leeds and has a good season there with McD.

Maguire Fantastic Indian summer for Ian Harte imho. Obviously the Prem is too much at this stage in his career and I hope we get someone more dynamic in to replace him, but his left foot is as good as i've seen at RFC.

This.

Wouldn't have minded him as back-up left back next season however that's probably just being sentimental and it's probably time for him to go. Let's not forget his lack of pace forcing Gorkss to try (and fail) to cover for him opened up our defense like the grand canyon this season.

Still missing his corners though...

We need a playmaker with good set pieces... we really really do miss his set pieces. Guthrie is absolutely useless at them.
