Everyone's talking as if this has actually been confirmed. I don't see anything confirming it.

Taken from Football-Rumours website:

"Here goes, i'm an arsenal fan so this dosnt concern me but I have been staying at the Madjeski Hotel (READING) and just as I was leaving guess who was checking in?
Wayne Bridge. NO LIE. 100%"

Might as well just move this to the Team board now then

Great player, but i wonder if a newborn baby crying all night at the beginning of the season will affect his performance on the field?

Great if true.

My prediction is this is just step one towards adkins master plan of signing up everyone from the team of the year. Genius!

honestly, i would prefer to get a younger lb who could develop. bridge seems to be a bit old at 32, we may only get one season out of him...would be a good player for us that season though!

What is it with Brighton fans. They really do think that they are a huge club with a massive fan base so they can do what they want...... Jebs

Would be a good bit of business if true - he's a free agent so we could afford a decent signing on fee, and then a level of salary which won't bust our wage structure for a year (Bridge effectively gets his salary as a reduced monthly payment and a lump sum), then have an option to extend on PL wages if we go back up at the first attempt, and if he's still up to it at 33/34...

Would still prefer to see a younger left back at the club - if Bridge is coming in, it would indicate that Kelly/Gunter would probably be first options at RB - wonder where this leaves Cummings? Could he do a job at LB?

Would have preferred someone like Kieran Richardson, purely because he is younger and faster, but I'm happy with Bridge

It helps if they can defend a bit too.

Bridge does have an ongoing problem with evening games though - he only performs on Saturdays.
